Hello!

We know how hard it is to stretch every dollar at the moment, especially at the supermarket checkout. So  we want to help out nine beautiful Mouths of Mums members by giving each of them a $200 Woolworths e-gift card!

The latest figures show that the average Aussie family is spending around $200 on their weekly shop, so we’re thrilled we can help nine families take care of their shopping for a whole week.

And all you have to do is help out the Mouths of Mums community with your best hacks and tips for reducing the cost of your Woolies shop each week.

We want to know how you’re able to save money at Woolworths when doing the groceries – we love creative ideas and those little known tricks – they really add up.

We’d also love to know if you have any tips on getting the maximum number of Woolworths Minecraft Cubeez in your shop as possible!

Leave your tips/hacks/tricks in the entry form below, and all the best of luck!

This is a game of skill; our team will select one winner based on the best genuine, non AI-generated answers.

  • For me send someone else to the shops, that way I don’t come home with 20 things instead of one or two things I went in for.

  • I plan my meals for the week and have a cost projection as I will do a mid week fruit and vegetable shop to always have the freshest items. This is so we have the least amount of wastage and healthiest meals possible.

  • I plan ahead of time by checking the specials online. Then I write my old-fashioned paper list and I ensure I do not stray from the list! This way I am only buying the items I definitely need!

  • Collect as many points as you can from Woolworths and buy as much as you can on special and store it away.

  • I stretch my Woolworths budget by shopping Wednesday nights for marked-down perishables, using the Everyday Rewards app for personalized specials, meal planning around weekly catalogs, buying seasonal produce, and freezing bulk meat purchases when on special

  • I hunt for all the specials and discounts.

  • I grow zucchini and I make lots of zucchini slice and vegetable slice. It’s a great way to use any leftover veggies. You can add bacon or not. It has 5 eggs in the recipe, so it’s a great meal on its own. Can be frozen, eaten hot or cold, so very versatile. Great for families.

  • Looking in the sale sections of Woolworths for cheap items to creat the bulk of our weekly meals!

  • I study the catalogue every Monday,
for all the specials coming my way.
Wednesdays I pounce, ready to save,
making stockpiles that preppers would crave.

  • I utilise my Everyday Rewards, buy in-season produce, check specials, stack discounts, use unit pricing, shop late for markdowns, meal plan, and buy home brands for big savings!

  • I shop online only because when I go in stores I buy random things I see

  • Shop the specials and keep up-to-date on catalogues to avoid buying something that’s half the price the following week. Buy items that get you bonus cubeez and dont forget at checkout to ask if they’re not offered. Swap cubeez with friends and family or at Swap days at woolworths. Make a list and stick to it as much as you can. My number one tip to reduce the cost is to shop WITHOUT the company of little trolley fillers that sneak in surprises for you to discover at the register or anyone that chooses groceries without looking at prices, usually getting the most expensive product, thats next to the one on special (ie. leave the kids with dad whenever possible).

  • If you have the space in your house always buy in bulk with the weekly specials and remember that while your favourite items might not be on special this week, they may be next week.

  • Write a list (and stick to it) before going to the shop. When I do this I find I’m less likely to overspend and I keep within the budget

  • My best Woolies hack? Never shop hungry.. because somehow, my ‘quick trip for milk’ turns into a gourmet feast for six.

  • Stick to Woolies specials, plan meals ahead, use rewards points—it’s money well-spread! Buy in bulk, avoid impulse buys, and scan for markdowns to economize!

  • I always boost my Woolworths offers which can help accumulate points quickly. Taking time to check the specials for the week is also a lifesaver. If there is a half price special on something we regularly eat I will stock up to save money in the long run.

  • Always have a list and meal plan before you go and shop the specials where you can.

  • Shop Fresh Fruits and Meat section and stock up the end of the aisle specials… amazing how much cheaper your shop will be.

  • To tell you the truth I don’t have any hacks or tips “Sorry” I just thought I’d enter to see if I could win, and then I would give half to my Daughter.
