So many wives tales about this one! I took the chewy reflux tablets – which were ok. One of the midwives told me to suck on lifesavers – apparently they help.
For either you or baby, raise the top end of the bed or cot. Just for you, a teaspoon of bicarbonate in a small amount of water and skull. Huge burp will ensue but also instant relief
Are you referring to pregnancy reflux? I had it during my pregnancy and it was horrible the only thing that gave me any kind of relief was Zantac which you can by at an supermarket.
If its baby reflux have you tried Infants Friend Oral Liquid?
One of the things I did was raising the bed at the head-end by putting blocks on that side under the legs (the food stays then longer in the stomach because of gravity). Feed your baby in a upright position. Better to feed frequently smaller portions. And take time for burping.
Now with 2nd baby with reflux, and no solutions I’m afraid. Don’t know if you’re breast feeding or not, but I’ve found breastfeeding with baby upright and holding both of them for minimum of 15 mins after feeding helps/helped. Anti-colic drops are meant to help too, but never had any noticable difference. Someone once suggested a chiro but never tried it.
