Hello!

Best veggies to grow with kids? – I’ve decided to get into the garden with my kids (they are 5 and 3). Any ideas on the easiest veggies (most likely to grow)? I figure if they’re fairly indestructible, the kids will have a better chance of success.

  • What did you end up growing in the end?

  • Silver beet, peas and beans

  • Beans, peas, strawberries, tomatoes – would probably be the first things I’d plant.

  • We’ve got tomatoes and parley. I also have a lemon tree in a pot (small one) and some chillies (fun to watch the colours change). Corn is another good one, pumpkin is good but you need the space for it. Ask the kids what they want to grow too as it is also fun for them to choose.
