How about a farm animal party? Or a reptile one? They bring all the animals for the kids to pet/hold etc. We did this for my daughters 8th party and all the kids loved it!

How about grabbing a friend of yours to help do a cute mani/pedi station with your daughter and her friends. You could even go all out and cut up cucumbers to put on their eyes while they are relaxing!

My Miss 7 wants to go to Inflatable World next year but we have done many different types.
Miss 10 just had her’s at a pamper place and that was a big hit 🙂

Have your party at McDonalds or a play centre. The kids get a special birthday and you do not have to clean up the mess. With both there is also play equipment for them to play on. Another one is the Ice arena at Thebarton and the kids get to skate or the bowling alley for the same thing
At any of these places there is little trouble for you

Hi, If you do a search online for party entertainment in your area you’ll find tonnes of great ideas that you can adapt to do yourself rather than hire someone.
A Masterchef party would be great if that’s something your 7 year old is into. Most kids love to decorate cakes or cookies so maybe simplifying to something like that would be an idea? Just provide aprons, piping bags, lots of icing and colours, and decorations like sprinkles.
You could also think about a disco or karaoke party; a make-over party; or a party where the kids script and film their own movie or film clip – you just provide a bunch of dress-up items and a camera.

What an excellent idea! Or you could have a girls night in. Glam up in your onesies, do your hair, nails, make up maybe. Some chick flicks and chocolate. Or a pool party. I love your creativity, now it’s got me thinking for something different

The Masterchef idea is so cute!! Other ones that are different are decorating your own cupcakes, painting party, scavenger hunt or obstacle course. Have fun!!

You could do a craft party, you set up different ‘stations’ for the kids to do different craft activites. A few ideas…decorating pinwheels, making jewellery out of macaroni or fruit loops.

I’ve seen a few great ones lately posted on Facebook by friends. Cupcake parties where they decorate their own, pizza parties where they make and cook their own and even a pampering party where someone comes in and gives them a foot spa, pedicure and manicure. They even had matching robes and head bands they could keep. My daughter would have loved that when she was 7 🙂

We tend to go to parks with a playground and organise a couple of games but mostly let the kids just play. We also have a transport and road safety centre with working lights and crossings etc where they kids can ride their bikes and scooters. There’s also a playground, table tennis table and BBQ so it’s great for ll ages.

The Master chief is a good idea they could all decarate their own pizzas and cup cakes or cookies for dessert.
Or you could go somewhere where they host that kind of party for you it kind of takes the stress out of it having to run it yourself.

We used to have a wood fire pizza oven and had a pizza party. Each child rolled out their dough and we had all the toppings in different tubs. Then they got to eat it once cooked! I think you can hire people that do this, otherwise buy dough from the bread shop and just cook the pizza in the oven!

We’ve also had a disco party. I hired 2 girls from the local dance school to come and entertain the kids. They taught them a dance routine that they then got to ‘perform’ for the parents before they got picked up.

I remember someone using one company like this one for a party.
