A sleeping tog may be a good step forwards

You don’t need to swaddle at that age. If you move her out of her bassinet (if she is in one) and place her in a larger cot she should be fine. My kids used to move around all the time and never had an issue as long is its safe and there’s enough room in their bed.

We used the LTD swaddles with the removable arms. I did a week of 1 arm free and then 2 days of both arms free and then stopped swaddling her all together and she was fine.

Sleeping bags provide security like swaddling. You can try unwrapping one arm and give her a while to get used to it then move on to next arm.

I found a light weigh sleeping bag helped or son make the transition easily. I love the Bonds Lil Dreamer snuggle suits the best – soft, east to get them in and out of and they come in Summer and Winter weight. (Well priced and easy to wash too!)

The Love To Dream Swaddle Up’s are fantastic! They are a zip up suit where their arms are in an upward position and they do a 50/50 swaddle which allows you to unzip one arm and leave it free then when they are used to that you can unzip the other and it becomes like a sleep sack. Makes the transition a lot smoother

When our Bubble started rolling I would wrap her with one arm out. I would switch arms for each sleep. She didn’t seem to like this for very long so we quickly moved onto wrapping with both arms out which she liked more. This worked for about a little while before she worked out she could get out of her wrap while sleeping, which didn’t bother her because she was wrapped as she fell asleep. As it came to hotter weather, we just eventually took the wrap away and replaced with a light cotton sleeveless sleeping bag to keep her covered (she moves sooo much in her sleep) and now we don’t even use a sleeping bag because it got too hot (40+ degree heatwaves warranted for nudie sleeps). Now she just likes to sleep in her PJ’s but I found it all a very good transition out of wrapping.

If you want to swaddle you could use a sheet that is bigger and wraps better. But if you want to stop I would just put bub into a sleeping bag (one that their arms go into and their legs are free) this keeps them warm enough as they roll around the cot.

We stopped swaddling at 2 months. She is 9 months now and i just let her roll over. I make sure the cot is always free of anything even blankets. I keep the room warm all the times so she doesnt have to wear too much layers too…

Wrap with her arms facing up for a while and slowly unwrap one arm at a time before completely unwrapping her. Make sure she is warm and firmly covered when she goes to bed as movement can often signal that they are cold or insecure

We stopped wrapping my 7 month old last month due to the heat and rolling. We used lots of patting and introduced a blankie and in the end the blankie worked as age had something to hold into. I also recoend sleeping grobags as they come to associate the bag with sleep after a few months and it’s safer thank blankets if you have a mobile sleeper.

I would tuck the blanket or sheet in a bit tighter and see if this helps
