Hello!

I have been diagnosed with an auto immune disease and would like to try a more natural remedy rather than popping pills if possible. I have never been to a naturopath doctor before.

  • Yes I have.It was expensive and NOT WORTH IT as it didn’t fix my sleeping issues. Am angry I wasted so.much money.

  • Yes I found that visiting a naturopath has helped me so much and improved my health and mental well-being. Might be a little costly but definitely worth it when you reap the benefits afterwards.

  • Good for you for trying alternatives to prescription medicines. My sister in law swears by natural remedies. Good luck with it

  • I tried one years ago for severe acne. Not as good of a result as I hoped for

  • I would be cautious about seeing one. You can end up spending a lot of money with very little result. My mum has spent thousands of dollars and got nowhere. They recommend taking large amounts of expensive vitamins which doesn’t seem right to me

  • I think they are great in essence, just very costly

  • I did not find it helpful. I really think conventional medicine is more effective and safer.

  • I’ve never used one, but I’ve heard good things from a few people I know that use them

  • worth a try and then you can make your decision if you want to continue. do research and ask re recommendations.

  • Yes I’ve been. You spend an hour in consultation with them which gives them time to really look at you. They will look at your blood tests and analyse everything that was tested. When you get a blood test, there are at least 60 things that are tested, but doctors will only look at a couple. The naturopath looks at everything, which can help with your health. I would definitely Italy recommend.

  • Best to ask around in your local area so you can get a recommendation of one you can go and visit. Ask around your friends as they may know of someone who is happy with one. Good luck.

  • A long time ago I did and my cousin is a naturopath. Just research one with a good reputation near you.

  • I’ve been quite a few times for digestive issues. I did not find it improved my ailments at all. Spent a lot on different pills, powders and diet plans and saw no change. Won’t be going back.

  • I was seeing a Nathropath few years ago for a digestion problem and she told me I needed to get a juicer and have juice everyday and to buy raw beetroot. Well was suppose to help me and instead I was straight on the loo tried twice and same problem. So then I tried another which cost me a lot of money for medication and consults and had to stop going as just couldn’t keep seeing as was on Disability Pension. So get recommendations if you can or reviews and can be expensive for you for the consult and medications they want to you to take. Good Luck.

  • No I haven’t, simply because I don’t have the money for it. But I have a friend who has positive experiences with Naturopath’s. Naturopathic medicine, acupuncture, massage therapy and other forms of alternative medicine are not covered by Original Medicare. For Medicare to pay in full for this service, beneficiaries must have a referral from their doctor or qualified practitioner.
