Treatment for boils……no. I vaguely remember my sister having one on her butt as a child, but have no memory of treatment. I would suggest seeing a medical professional about it

keep it covered. get a cream from the chemist. keep sheets clean. put a towel down on a couch to keep germs off it

Your Doctor would definitely be able to provide you with treatment options but the following are certain things you can do or avoid to help alleviate the symptoms.
Avoid prolonged exposure to heat and humidity;
Avoid shaving if irritation occurs;
Avoid tight, synthetic clothing near affected area;
Nonnarcotic analgesics;
Stress management;
Topical antiseptics and antibacterial soap;
Warm compresses, warm baths, and hydrotherapy.

I have a friend who has to go get them suctioned out its pretty bad, she has now been referred to a dermatologist specialist, it may be worth asking for a referral to the hospital dermatoligist, I have another skin condition and was referred 4 years ago, I was seen by a private Dermatologist at the hospital and was thankfully bulk billed to go to his clinic and have biopsies etc to find out the condition. my doctor just kept telling me it was Eczema and it was nothing of the sort.

Yes the doctor suggested saproderm too. QV cream helps when healing but i use savlon antiseptic cream when inflamed. Seems to be helping. Hope i dont get another flare up. The dr said theres no genetic testing for it but ive read theres three genes to test. Shes already diagnosed me with it.

I occasionally get them in my arm pit, very painful and swollen to the extent I can’t move my arm. Mine seem to be triggered by shaving, deodorants, and clothing rubbing. I use a medicated antiseptic soap (like Sapoderm) instead of my normal soap just in that area, keep the area clean and dry, and stop using deodorants and shaving for a while. I also have an autoimmune disease which could be a trigger. I was told some medication, excess sweating, obesity, certain food, genetics and hormones can also trigger it. Your condition sounds more extreme than mine. Maybe a skin dermatologist can help you find the cause and better treatment. In the meantime, the medicated antiseptic soap is worth a try (a little dearer but worth it). Most chemists will stock it. I’d be interested to know which cream you found helps.

I have read that there is a DIET acne inversa that might help. I saw a program on Embarrassing Bodies where they sent the patient to a skin specialist who cured the patient as the bacteria need to be treated first.
