  • This is a hard one, because the question is really what can and will your toddler eat?
Homemade cupcakes with fruit snuck, yoghurt, capsiucum sticks, muesli bars, porridge, nuts or nut butters, tinned fruit, sesame snaps, roasted fava beans or chickpeas, dried fruit, sugar free juice, those freeze dried peas are all ideas

  • I just saw a mini foccacia recipe on the MoM recipe section, love this idea

  • I make home made museli bars, all the kids and adults in this household love them

  • So many great suggestions here already. Lots for you to try. Good luck, lunchboxes are tough

  • Chia puddings, capsicum celery carrot mixes. dried fruit.

  • Nuts, vegetarian sausage, homemade power balls, zucchini corn fritters, humus with carrot and celery sticks

  • Carrot sticks. Vegie muffins (in a mini size). Cheese. Pretzels.

  • I have some screw top containers to make up fruit, yoghurt and granola/chia cups. Sometimes smoothie bowls. The smoothie bowls are great to hide some extra goodness in, spinach blends up really well haha

  • Thanks mums! I’m going shopping and looking at all these! Thank you x

  • My granddaughter loves the Woolies pepper crackers with any of the following either together or separately…..cheese ( I buy block and slice and dice myself), tomato, cucumber, olives and ham

  • Little yoghurt pouches, carrot sticks with hummus, vege chips, muffins and some cheese.

  • Yoghurt coated berries are a healthy sweet treat that are great for lunch boxes.

  • Veges and hummus, rice crackers with choc (you can find them in the health food aisle) as a sweet option, popcorn, quiches, zucchini slice

  • My 4yo loves pretzels, cheese and crackers, vegetables sticks and dip, mini quiche or healthy home made muffins.

  • Homemade protein balls, made from dates or dried apricots and rolled in coconut. They look so fun and can be made nut free

  • I include rice crackers and little mini cucumbers that have been pickled but you could also include twiggy sticks etc or even add some harvest snaps.

  • Cheese & crackers.

  • We recently found freeze dried strawberries which taste like lollies and dried mango strip’s which are the same. No added sugar and my kids think they are ‘healthy lollies’. I also add a small sauce container with dip in it, they both love Tzatziki and will tend to eat more veggies and rice crackers if they have dip

  • There are some great options in the health food aisle. I love Tom & Luke’s or Smooshed balls. They are made of natural ingredients, and are healthy but taste like chocolate truffles! Muesli bars are great too, and lots of healthy chips in the health food aisle too.
