  • My son was like this. Hardly ever slept during the day other then a couple of minutes. At 10 months of age he still was feeding 10x, he just liked the breast and the comfort of it :)

  • She is going through a mental leap as well at this age! It’s tricky but I u are doing the right thing putting her to bed as soon as she is tired. There is nothing worse than an overtired baby. If you are worried that something is wrong though perhaps make an appointment with either GP/paediatrician or maybe even a sleep consultant?! Good luck

  • Do you have advice for others now

  • I could have written this. I rule everything out. I also use infants friend. I have started following tresillian-tips for sleep settling techniques :) goodluck

  • I would give the sleep centre a ring. I think it’s called Trecillian or something similar to that as they have great suggestions on helping babies settle.

  • My daughter was like this. I didn’t know it then but I do now your child might have heartburn/reflux. to suck on the bottle and to BF is two different sucking actions. If you succeed with the bottle you need to thicken the formula with one extra scoop of the powder and this will help ease her pain.

  • Mine was the same at that age. They do grow out of it though it is very stressful on you

  • Hope you are both settled into a comfortable routine by now,

  • i hope its going well :)

  • I think it is just what babies do -it is always changing

  • How is she going now since going back to work full time?

  • I hope you found out a way to help your 4 month old daughter to sleep

  • Did her sleeping get any better?

  • How is she going now?

  • The same with my son. Lots of babies do this, although its very frustrating it isn’t something to worry too much about

  • There’s lots of helpful tips here from other people, hopefully some have been of some help.

  • I hope things have improved, and all goes well when you go back to work next month. Hopefully some of the answers here have been helpful, I don’t have anything to add sorry.

  • Totally relate. Not that it helps

  • Try giving her a jumper or a T shirt you wore that day so she always has your scent

  • Slowly get her attached to dad a bit more and see if that helps
