If your baby is a heavy sleeper you should be able to change his nappy without waking him. If you get up about 5.00 am or other time towards morning change him then. He will probably drink more if he is in a warm room in Winter, especially if he sleeps with his mouth open. If there is a family history of diabetes at all it may be worthwhile having him tested. The nephew of a co-worker of mine was diagnosed at around the same age as your son.

Oh Goodness, you just bought me back memories. My son was the biggest wetter on both , because drank around so much and even a bit more later . Later I had to use the plastic nappy pants and put an extra cover on top of the mattress . I didn’t think about reducing it because he was very excact with his timing on when he wanted to drink , eat etc..and you don’t want to cut down on milk, liquids etc , because you don’t want the risk of dehydration . Its a hard one .

I used clothe nappies, I used to fold another nappy and place it inside the folded one. Put that on then a pair of Fluffies over that and a pair of plastic pants over that. Just fir night times. I hated it and sometimes they still wet through :/

Hopefully by now you have it sorted. But I always use the size up in huggies at night time. Some nights but rarely it might leak but that’s generally because she has had a poo too. Hope you’ve found a solution

Maybe cut out drinks earlier in the night ,we had same problem ,so reduced after tea drinks .

unfortunately i HAVE BECOME INCONTINENT! AT MY AGE, FOUND i TOO GET LEAKAGE SO PUT EXTRA PAD INSIDE PANTS, YOU COULD USE EXTRA LINERS OR SOME EXTRA SOFT PADDING INSIDE. just A SUGGESTION FROM EXPERIENCE.

Some babies can just have a large bladder. My mum says I use to go through 2 cloth nappies & a liner through the mattress protector onto the mattress. Thank god for disposables, we had the same problem with my little one so we went up a nappy size just for night time which seemed to work.

I’ve cut down his bottle amount & using the dry nites still, seems to be working!

Maybe try a different brand of nappy Or undies over his nappy to make a better fit.

We used cloth nappies in the day, and a disposable over night. We had the same trouble, but eventually settled on Babylove nappy pants. We occasionally use a cover over the top if he is doing more exploring. I agree with going a size up, that helped too. I’ve also heard of people changing their child around 10pm without waking him. Our son’s biggest wee was when he woke up, so we get him up quickly now to put him on the toilet. Good luck!

Definitely use different nappies for the night; they need to be more absorbent.

Have you tried a nappy change during the night if he’s already wet so there’s not as much by morning to leak? Maybe if nothing works you could try transitioning his feed before bed to being a bit earlier, enough time for him to do a wee before bed.

I use Aldi nappies in the day but I usually put my son in a Huggies at night because I find they have the best absorbency for the longer stretches between nappy changes.

I used to use baby love when he was a year old & wet through, so didn\’t bother going back to them.
I went back to huggies thinking paying top dollar I would be safe… No luck.
I am currently using dry nites , the smallest size but maybe a little too big… I may try baby loves again. I have also tried once upon a time (woollies brand) but no good for night!
I might give the cover a go also.

Whenever my son wet through I found that the next size up nappy helped. We also found Babylove the only brand that helped keep him dry.

Maybe look at the nappy; what brand? Maybe try another brand?

You can get wool nappy covers to stop leakage.
