I would suggest rubbing her tummy.

There are sooo many different products on the market, I suggest bicycle legs, warm baths, rubbing belly clockwise!

Infacol was great for my little man!
Laying him on his belly across my legs and rubbing his back helped a lot too.
Also not sitting him up straight after a bottle, we kept him laying down for 30 seconds or so after his drink, and he would do huge burps when sat up.

Infacol worked for my bub and also always burping and doing bicycle legs on baby for about 20 minutes it helped a lot.

We found infants friend helped, didn’t solve the problem but did help. Otherwise give your child and health nurse a call for ideas.

Also practice practice practice! Don’t be afraid to rub/pat a little harder if what you’re doing isn’t working. It can be VERY easy to do it super gently as you’re afraid to hurt the wee one, but you’re not doing them any favours. As long as you’re not hurting them, you’re fine – they won’t break.

Sometimes placing them lengthways on a pillow and rubbing up and down vigorously can help also 🙂 You’ll get there mama, it just takes time and practice.

When my bub was bad, I used to lie her on her tummy on my knees and gently rub her back – patience is the key here, eventually they will burp no matter which why becomes easier for you.

just throw her over your shoulder – I got so used to walking around with a baby on my shoulder, she will bring it up when she is ready – don’t stress x

My parents had problems burping me too. Dad developed a technique. He could feel the “knot” in my tummy. If he rubbed that patch firmly with just his fingers I usually burped quickly. Mum often talked about how he could do it much better than she could. If baby has severe reflux I’m not sure over the shoulder is a great idea. At least if have baby on your knee you know where the vomit has gone; especially if your baby projectile vomits like my nephew did. It travelled a good distance before it started to fall to the floor….or what ever it landed on. Even now if he starts to vomit we have to watch him very carefully as to whether or not it is projectile. He does one cough and that’s it….I’ll let you imagine the result.

Try resting but on her tummy on your lap and rubbing her back

I slowly bounce Bub on my knee and bounce him and he burps. I think with age they start diing it without too much effort.

I was also frustrated for a while because I could never get a burp but my parents would just hold bub and he would burp away. Once I found a technique that worked for me I was so happy. In the end all I needed to do to get a burp was sit bub on my knee and hold his neck under his chin and he would eventually burp. Bicycle legs also worked for us when bub was very windy.

i put my bub down and ‘bicycle’ his legs, help him pull it up so it looks like we are playing but im helping him pass wind. =) i tried colic hold too. google it so you see a photo on how it is done. worked wonders.

Poor thing , I always remembered the nurses used to tell me if a baby cries with his legs up , it is a sign of wind. I was also informed how you burp a child is important too. What I used to do is one of these two techniques. Hold the baby by the neck gently and burp him sitting up and gently rub his back in a small circles until he burps. The other way is put him over your right shoulder and rub his back until he burps . Do either of this sitting down and patience is the key . Both of mine initially had reflex so expected a bit of a fountain .
