  • Maybe increase the amount of red meat in his diet.


  • Eat iron rich foods and almonds.


  • Lots of green leafy vegetables taken with vitamin C, like orange juice or Brussel sprouts. Iron fortified foods such as cereal.


  • Eat regular red meat and green leafy vegies such as spinach, cabbage etc and drink orange juice afterwards to as Vit C helps absorbs the iron . If you are concerned , you can always have a blood test with your doctor to see if he is iron deficient before you take any supplements .

  • Other than supplements, green leafy veg and lean red meat is the best legumes are also rich in iron. Unfortunately kids don’t always prefer those things…good luck!

  • buy the foods high in iron. and incorporate that more into diet, iron enriched cereals and bread, supplements

  • I currently take Fefol (folic acid and iron) daily as it’s the only one I can take that doesn’t make me constipated! I take it with orange juice and try to make sure I have vitamin c with read meat – eg: tomato based sauces with beef mince, steak with leafy green veggies high in vitamin c etc. I also try to eat iron rich cereals and anything I can with added iron.
