I am a side and back sleeper and sometime on my front I know difficult, but just can’t seem to get a pillow that lasts and stays puffed up I seem to get a max of 6 – 8 weeks then I am trying another one ? any recommendations ?

  • I love my memory foam pillow ( medium height). I hated it at first but persevered and now it’s great.

  • Got a memory foam pillow off gumtree and it’s been great. I also like to alternate with a feather pillow (if I need to block out noise) but this is much softer. Sometimes when I get bad neck ache I just go no pillow for a few nights and it eases. I think mixing things up helps me.

  • I would go to a bedshop and ask advice. They often have pillows there you can try out.

  • I know they can be expensive (we paid quite a bit for two) but the Dunlopillos are so worth it.

  • The target side sleeper was good but I’m now using a Tempur pillow I was given. They are really expensive but long lasting and very comfortable

  • I have a bambillo pillow that is working for me at the moment

  • I purchased online a Dunlopillo Therapillo about 4 years ago and are very happy with it. It’s a memory foam pillow and it suits me as a back and side sleeper. I chose a low profile, but there are also medium and high profile ones as well. I think I got it from Deals Direct when they were having a big sale and the rrp was $139 and I paid about $50. Lots of bed shops and Harvey Norman stock them if you want to check them out to see what they feel like. Shop around though as they would cost more now and the price differences can be huge.

  • Oo I’m curious too. We got Sheridan pillows that were super high/firm but they’re too big for my liking. I’d go medium next time we need some, but they seem to have lasted better than other pillows from cheaper shops. We got them nearly half price from Myer after Christmas

  • Latex is supposed to be the best for health but if you prefer a fluffy soft pillow you can basically forget the latex. I am still looking for that magic pillow that lasts and supplies a great nights sleep night after night. Will be following this post with much interest.

  • Sometimes I think it’s just luck finding the right pillow. I’ve had Tontine in the past and they’ve been great. My current pillow is also a Tontine and it is the worst pillow I’ve ever had. Trial and error I guess.

  • Latex make amazing pillows. I can’t live without mine. I also have a pillow on top which is the Gainsborough soft comfort pillow. Good luck.

  • Memory pillows are good. They don’t lose their nice puffiness and does take own head weight well each time.

  • A bamboo pillow is intriguing.

  • I bought a Target Pillow designed to sleep on my side. It is still as good as new. To be honest with you all “store” branded goods are made by a manufacturer, sell them with their company name on them and charge a lot more. My niece reckons bamboo pillows are the best to sleep on. She gets much better sleep with one of them than she does any other pillow – expensive or cheap.

  • The eternal search for a comfy pillow – I hope to benefit from your question and the answers too! :)

  • Pop into a Dept store such as Target or Myer where they have a good selection . A lot of pillows that are well made are not cheap so perhaps have a browse when they have sale on .Ive only used Tontine which is good for the family ,

  • Yes I need a good Pillow
as I have health issues and need to sleep sitting up
as if I lay flat there is so much pressure on my Head
I have tried Memory Foam Pillows but NO thanks not soft enough lol

  • I’m also a back and side sleeper and I love memory foam pillows. They are more expensive but last the distance. It takes about a week to adjust to the new type but it is worth it. I can’t sleep on the ‘normal’ pillows anymore.

  • Memory foam I found to be good

  • I too have trouble with pillows. The only one I have found that lasts the distance and is comfy is through Lorraine Lea linen however they are expensive. Hope it helps.
