Apart from the medical staff, only other person I gad in the delivery room was my partner. I watch women give birth on tv though and sometimes wish I had photos done

I recently seen some photo’s done of when they baby was first born, not the birth but just actual newborn photo’s like of the first cuddles, photo’s of the baby being bathed, the hospital ID tag etc they were really lovely i’d consider doing that

Only if you don’t mind your body being photographed especially a very private part of your body . It depends on the person and I know I would never consider doing it as it is too exposing for me , no matter how great it was .

Haven’t they stopped photos during labour and delivery now? I’m sure my cousin, who had a baby nearly 5 years ago, I remember her saying cameras weren’t allowed. Then again, I have a vague memory this was because she didn’t want her father in law in there taking pics

Its a great moment to capture. People get embarrassed though if a stranger gets involved.

Just get your partner or mum to take photos doesn’t need to be professional I have great photos of my c sections that my partner took and the staff in the room even took some

Not something that interests me or that I would like immortilised in print but seems to be more popular now with lots of caesarian pictures and babies being held up for the first time by obs. I don’t know how it would work ie one one support person can be present for a caesar, I guess it would depend on the dr and the hospital.

I wanted to get it done but pricing was ridiculous and expensive! for my second my sister in law got photos for me, some and they were everything I wanted to see.

I think it’d be a good product to offer, there’s the opportunity to tell you to stop at any point, and any photos kept will be treasured.

I wouldn’t mind getting it done, as long as I could see the photo’s/video’s first & then see if I wanted them kept or not, I just don’t know how many people you’re allowed in the room & wouldn’t want my mum or the father of my child to miss out on being there for a photographer.

I’ve sen some photographs of it, but really wouldn’t like to have photos of myself in labour. I think it’s one of those times where the memories alone are enough.

definitely do it if you want to, you don’t want to regret it later on

I’ve never personally done it but a close friend of mine has and the photos turn out great.

My husband took photos.. Personally, I don’t know what to do with them!

I know of a lot of woman who have done it and loved it, so if you want to do it, you need to become extremely familiar with the woman and her partner as you are going to be going into one of the most intimate experiences of a couple and sharing it with them.

I have a photo of one of my children being lifted up just after delivery. With the twins everything happened so fast and early we weren’t thinking about photos.
