Hello!

I’m currently losing weight for my upcoming surgery and I am struggling with lunch ideas. I have eggs on toast nearly everyday and really want something different. Any ideas?

  • Grilled chicken and salad/veggies, soup, baked beans, cheese and crackers, fruit and yoghurt. Hope these help.


  • Chicken in a wrap with salad is heaven!


  • salads? wholemeal salad sandwich? wholemeal pasta or rice


  • Chicken wraps with salad,cheese & fresh mango.


  • Veggie soup is good for you and low in kjs. I make it myself so know exactly what is in it


  • Cruskits with your favorite topping are great and low in Calories


  • Make up a batch of this dip, and freeze a few containers. Defrost one in the morning and have as a snack with vegie pieces for lunch

    I also make Fruit Kebabs and have them with some pureed berries for dipping. Or I slice some cucumber about 1/2 cm thick, put a little horseradish on the slices, and a little grated carrot and cheese.

    With all of these ideas, I feel like I’m having something a bit naughty, but I’m not They’re all healthy, easy and full of flavour. Good luck, I hope it all goes well for you!

  • There are a lot of great lunch ideas in the real recipes section – open chicken sandwiches, green steak, omelettes (different variations), soups, salads, Maybe having a look through will get you inspired.


  • Steam fresh veggies you can do in the microwave in 3 min… with a tin of flavoured tuna mixed through.

  • my favourite low calorie lunch is rice paper rolls with heaps of veggies and just a bit of meat cooked in oyster sauce. it is very time consuming chopping the veggies though. my current lunches are usually the weight watchers or McCain healthy choice meals. only 300ish calories a meal. some are crap but I have found my favourites


  • im not sure if you want to buy a cook book but loose baby weight have some really good looking ones and they also have meal replacement shakes if your into that and can add things to make awesome smoothies, i haven’t yet tried their products but from what i can see the results are amazing lots of support and delish looking lunch breakfast and dinner ideas ! worth a look anyway
