My two kids were the sand. Brother and sister, three years apart. It got so bad I couldn’t leave them home alone once they reached the suitable ages. I always had to be with them or one had to be with me because I stressed about one of them being seriously hurt if left alone. They grew out of it, although it still happens sometimes now and they’re 26 and 29

My son used to fight with his sister. I was told he was trying to be the domineering one and I gave him a large rolled up newspaper and to take his anger out on the pole out the back. He had great pleasure doing this and got out a lot of frustration. The trick then was he had to pick up all the mess the paper had made. It stopped him for quite a long time. Maybe yours should both have a newspaper and put in different areas and then have to clean up the mess. It could work.

I used to worry like mad when my two youngest (girl and boy) fought like crazy. The kicks, punches, and the rest.

One day my sister was visiting and the kids were driving me crazy fighting. So, I said “right that is it, I have had enough. Get outside and if you are going to fight, do it on the grass. They stormed down the steps, my sister said, you can’t do that, I just said, don’t worry, just watch. One threw a punch and missed, landed on her bottom and they both laughed their heads off, then went and played together.

I used to tell them that they would be friends one day and they both said, NO WAY! but they did. Some of the fights were scary, but thankfully they grew out of it. There is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Some people would freak when they read this, but deep down I knew the kids would laugh and fall over cracking up. I also knew that they really did love eachother back when they were little. If one got sick the other worried. Therefore, all I can help you with is, be patient, tell them if they are going to fight do it outside and they were not allowed inside until they worked on the problems.
