I think it would become expensive really quickly if you had to pay someone to tailor all your baby clothes. Do you know how to sew? If you do, you could buy the larger size clothes for the top, and bring the sides in. Alternatively you may have to tuck their top into their pants to help make it less baggy.
Hope you find a solution.
Just buy separates where you can – this will largely solve the problem. If you can’t – or it’s something like a body suit – go for the bigger size. S/he’s a baby, it doesn’t matter a lot yet.
My girls had big heads. We found items with zippers or buttons to work best.
If it’s their top half, let them west what’s comfortable. Most of us have different shirt/pant sizes ????
Maybe just avoid clothing that goes over the head. There are many items available with front openings. The other option would be to find someone who does alterations and may be able to put openings in the back of the tops, like a slit down the back with closures. Good luck.
Thanks for the advice! I dont think l made myself clear – his trunk and legs are a 0, but nothing fits over his head.
Would any other disability mums have ideas on where to buy unusually sized clothes? Or those snap close shirts.
Buy individual clothing. Get tops in size 4 and bottoms in size zero.
My 9 year old has the waist size 6 but leg length is a size 9-10. Some times you just need to make alterations
