Hello!

I’m looking for what works best on removing blood from fabrics? It’s old and has been washed on only cold loads previously.

  • Sard soap bar! Works on about anything lol
    Maybe give that a go

  • I was in a hospital and got blood all over my white cotton shirt the nurse came to me with a spray bottle of Windex window cleaner and said this really works. So I took it to the bathroom and sprayed my shirt and waited 10 minutes and washed it out in cold water. IT REALLY WORKED! I have since used it on a carpet stained with blood. Who Knew!

  • Do a strip wash by putting it in the bathtub with hot water, 1/4 cup borax, 1/4 cup washing soda and half cup washing detergent. Stir every half our till water is cool.

  • I find dynamo liquid excellent, poor a little on the stain, leave it to soak overnight with a little more dynamo in the water, and then give it a bit more of a scrub with Sard soap if needed.

  • Baking soda with vinegar. It might helps

  • Have you tried baking soda with Aldi stain remover spray? Mix it together in a bowl and apply it to the stain and let it sit for a while then wash normally in cold water

  • Sard wonder soap bar has always been a go to for me. have heard the stick one is good too.

  • Sard is what works best for us too, try it in the soap variety, much better value for money

  • Is it something you could get dry cleaned, since cold water hasn’t worked?

  • Try the Aldi stain removal spray and soaking the clothing.. I find the sooner you do this the easier the stain is to get out

  • I use Sard Soap on everything. Not sure if it works on bloodstains.

  • Sard wonder soap is what I would recommend. Leave it to soak and use a cold wash to get it out

  • I find Sard wonder soap to be really good.

  • There’s some really good advice here already! Soaking and scrubbing and using your stain remover of choice will work – it may just take time.

  • I find the key is to let it soak overnight. I use Vanish, but Sard is also good
