  • first step is to see where you are spending money. only once i calculated the cost of my husbands coffee habits everyday, did he realise how much he was spending on it….not that he really changed, but still!. You can easy set up a spreadsheet.

  • Firstly, work out your regular outgoings. Rent/mortgage, power, phone/internet, groceries etc etc. Try and put away a small amount for each bill each payday. This will be enough to cover those bills either completely or a good amount. Making things a little easier

  • I hope you’ve been able to set up a budget.

  • Get a really good accountant and they can help you set up a budget and identify areas where you are spending too money.

  • Work out the average cost of each bill & put aside an even amount each pay for your bills. Even if you have some left over keep it put away in case a bill creeps up higher, if not, at the end of the year you have a little bit extra cash for Christmas or to treat yourself to something special.

  • Write down the total of money, write down your expense allow a bit extra for some things if needed, what’s left take half and save. The other half is for any other bits and pieces.

  • I have just started budget it’s interesting

  • great question. I dont have one but I never pay full price!

  • also just get a spreadsheet set up and that is pretty easy

  • work out what you spend vs what your income is and alot the money. the big ones are always accomodation, utilities and food, see how you can cut costs in these areas.

also for quick cash, have a garage sale

  • Start with listing out all of your yearly expenses (rates insurance etc) then all the regular expenses. You can keep it all on a spreadsheet. Then at the end of the month enter your actual spend and see if you are on budget.

  • I normally write a list of how much i have and then work out the most important bills down to less important

  • Start with what you already know: mortgage/rent, electricity, gas, water etc. Determine a weekly grocery budget and fuel etc. Then you may be able to do some savings or pay off credit cards.

  • I am not sure, but there would be a template online somewhere

  • write down what your bill are and pay them off weekly also buy in bulk where you can and maybe go to a market with another family member for fruit and veg

  • There are plenty of free budget programs on the net and they’re all basically the same. You could also use a plain old excel spreadsheet. In order to create a budget that you are going to be able to stick to, I would recommend spending a month writing down everything you spend – and I mean EVERYTHING. Understanding your current spending habits is the first step to creating a budget that you know you will stick to. Good luck!

  • I divided all or essential expenses into what they cost weekly then each week put that money aside and used it to pay bills.

  • hows is going with it all

  • How are you going with your budget?

  • some excellent answers, Also, consider putting away a set amount every week to pay your bills, this way when they come in you have money towards paying them, also set up a Christmas account which you will have to put towards Christmas, Christmas bills or a short holiday.
