Hello!

“I am 25 weeks pregnant. At 18 weeks, my morning sickness started to settle, but at 23 weeks it has returned with a vengeance. I’ve tried all the “tricks” such as ginger tablets, bland food, eating little and often… the sickness just won’t go away. It’s made worse by constant migraines and headaches. I did suffer from them prior to pregnancy but they’re getting worse. Does anyone have any advice for mid-pregnancy morning sickness and migraines? I’m so miserable and just want this whole experience to be over ”

  • I found anything dairy gave me relief. Baby Custards, Milo, milk. I’m very surprised I didn’t give birth to a tin of Milo lol

  • Al those foods were not so appealing to me. I preferred herbal tea’s especially in the morning. Herbal teas like red raspberry, lemon, spearmint, peppermint, peach, or chamomile

  • rest, sitting down helps

  • Dry toast and tea before you get out of bed. Stay hydrated. Eat whatever you feel like whenever a craving might hit

  • OMG just reading everyone’s answers makes me feel like spewing… I know the feeling, nothing is seeming to work for me either. So over feeling like this. I know I’m hungry but I just can’t eat anything without feeling like I’m going to bring it back up & once I start my 3 year old starts & I just can’t handle cleaning up 2 lots of spew when I feel so weak.

  • Go to your GP and ask for a prescription of Ondansetron. This can be taken during pregnancy with your doctors or midwifes advice. They come in 4 or 8mg wafers and are expensive – but worth it.

  • Try eating ginger nut biscuites they helped me get through,

  • Geentea with mint is my helpful tip

  • poor thing try sleeping thats the only thing that would help me

  • No idea about dealing with morning sickness.

  • I was lucky not to get it – hope you managed to find something that worked.

  • Instead of ginger tablets, try munching on some ginger biscuits.

  • I hope you found some advice

  • I dont have any help for you with regards to the headaches, however with the general sickness I found eating a piece of toast before getting up, followed by blackmores morning sickness tablets (basically ginger tablets) helped greatly in the morning. The only thing I could keep down for a few months was plain rice, sometimes with peas or corn & a little soy sauce. Small frequent snacks helped a lot, as did eating marmite rusks (toast with marmite / vegemite cooked in the over until crispy & then eaten when cold.

  • I ate small cut up pieces of fruit. It helped a little bit.

  • Zooper Doopers – I had cancer whilst I was pregnant and I can tell you when you combine morning sickness and chemo sickness together it makes for one hell of a lot of throwing up! I lived on zooper doopers – the ice cooled me down and the sugar eased my stomach. When I couldn’t tolerate the zooper doopers I used to just such on ice. Just remember it doesn’t last forever and you get a beautiful bundle of joy at the end of it!

  • You’re not alone. I vomited and had daily headaches for the entire duration of my last two pregnancies.
Try to keep fluids up. Have iceblocks like electrolyte ones if you can’t keep anything down. Nibble on vegemite toast, dry bikkies etc. Get as much rest as you can. My first pregnancy I just stopped working and rested at home mainly as I felt so crummy.

  • I went to the doctors and was prescribed RANI2 best thing I ever did for my morning sickness

  • the only thing that settled me was gngernut biscuits and garlic bread

  • I suffered the same thing and was told to eat dry biscuits to keep off the throwing up
