I tried selling mine on Facebook marketplace for heaps cheap but no one was interested. I guess because others offer them for free.
If you live in the Sydney area you can get a company called Clothing Cleanup to pick them up from your house. All your have do is double bag them in garbage bags and leave them out the front of your house ready for collection.

I would donate or try and sell them on gumtree.

Some special ones are still used for dolls and big teddies and I made a blanket of my favourites. The rest went to anyone who would to have them and vinnies.

I kept the special ones to hand down when my kids have kids. Others I passed on to family members or friends

I would donate them to charity shops. In my case I gave them to my younger brother and his wife when they were expecting their first child.

If you child is still small enough but you have sleeping bags that are too short, you can undo or cut off the bottom of it and hem it to use as a nightie or dressing gown. Some styles open right to the bottom. It depends how they are made. The really old style buttoned up down the front and it was shaped and stitched across the bottom. We did 2 but didn’t quite get the hem straight. OK for around home or camping.

Donate them to Vinnies or Salvos if they are good condition . Charity shops are great and always need good clothing . I also handed down to next family lot of babies for the ones in great condition if they needed it too .

I paid them forward to other friends who was having babies

Facebook buy swap sell page is great! Maybe a friend expecting a baby would love to have your bub’s cothes, sometimes they are just shy to ask for it. There are those charity containers (sorry but I don’t know how to call it) around that you can just drop your clothes.

Australian Red Cross have opportunity shops too. Some churches have community groups with lists of charities and what they need most. Some also accept articles such as cot bedding. In Adelaide Vinnies sell articles at very reasonable prices, not only clothes but articles such as furniture and other home requirements. They also donate furniture and clothing etc. to people in genuine need. Our local Salvos are very fussy what they will accept. Even excellent quality furniture, if they don’t think it will sell very quickly they won’t accept it even to give it to somebody in desperate need. I can understand them not wanting to take items which are in bad condition but near new condition solid furniture I don’t understand at all, disappointing considering they were appealling for some at the time

Facebook buy, sell, swap; there may also be a baby and kids market in your city every few months. You could always have a garage sale or donate them to Vinnies.

I have kept some, given some to relatives, and donated the rest to St Vincent de Paul.

No no no don’t throw them in the bin! I kept a suitcase full of special baby mementoes. I then gave a heap to relatives who were expecting after me. There’s always charity shops you could donate them to. Just don’t throw them out

I have seen beautiful quilts made with baby clothes too – a very special keepsake quilt.

Salvos or Vinnies will happily take them.

I kept just a few things and took the rest to a Women’s Refuge. They were immensely grateful. They can be hard to find and don’t publish locations for great reason – other good options are to donate directly to charities. At the time I gave mine away, none of my friendship group had younger children – only older.

I gave some to people I knew. I brought the rest to Salvos.
