I would go with an ergo, with an infant insert. You need the infant insert for 4 months or so but the ergo is so versatile. I was still carrying my daughter on my back when she was 3. So comfy and easy to use.

Yes I loved my wrap for my baby. I have a hugabub and as others have said it takes a bit of practice to use it but then I found it comfortable for both baby and I and easy to use once I got the hang of it. Once she was a bit older I started using an Ergo but for a new born I do recommend a wrap style carrier.

I completely agree with above post. I used to use the wrap with my girl too.it provides more control than other carriers.

I *loved* the Moby wrap I got. I agree that once you get the hang of tying it, you can try different positions as your child gets older & depending on their moods during the day.

Forgot to mention, u will need an insert for a newborn wich is sold separately.

We love our baby carrier. Ergo baby 360. Very good support for both you and your baby which was the most important thing for me. I looked at other cheaper brands but very bad support. It is pricey, we waited for a good sale, also checked out gumtree. Also recommended/ approved to be good for baby hips ( they use specific terminology on their website)

I 100% agree with the first post. I tried all sorts of carriers with my first two, and quite liked the Ergo. However with this bub, I discovered the wrap, and have used it constantly (and still do – my baby is almost 1!) It’s really comfortable for both parent and baby, easy to pop into your bag to use later without taking up too much space/weight, and easy to wash. The other thing I love is that I can put it on at home, wear it while driving in the car, then just grab bub out of the car and pop her in when we arrive wherever we’re going!

The top brand name ones are expensive, but there are heaps of cheaper ones. You can even make your own (since it’s just a long piece of cloth!)

I use a wrap (like a hug-a-bub) for my little one. Once you get the hang of wearing it you will never go back…I’m still wearing my 8 month old….couldn’t live without it a it leaves my hands free to control the other kids, cook dinner etc . Good luck
