It depends what area you live on. Seed packets should have a map of Australia on it showing zones in different colours. You plant as per the instructions. If oyu can’t work out which zone you are in. maybe you should ask at a Garden Centre or Hardware type store that sells seeds and plants. If you know your zone can buy the seeds in some supermarkets. You may be able to find a book in a library with details….make sure the book doesn’t only apply to one area. Yates have a free garden club on-site. You should be able to find it via google. You get information by email every month, not just about vegetables but all types of plants. There is a section where you can ask questions and get answers on-line. Jusr be aware that they only promote their own garden products. You can buy other brands of seeds etc. at the shops etc. As far as I know they don’t sell products on-line but that may have changed.

Depends on your climate but if you just google your area and what’s the best veggies for your dirt and sun etc

Go to your local garden centre and see what is on special for winter planting; you can often get good advice and bargains too.

I’m in Tassie and planted kale, silverbeet and garlic last week. Still getting frosts here so still too soon for potatoes etc.

Depeneds where you live it needs to be pretty cold for things like cauli and broccoli. Go and buy Yates 100 years of gardening book, its very helpful.

Silverbeet, cauliflower, broccoli, things like that. A lot of things do well all year round as well like peas, beetroot, snowpeas. I’ve even got lettuce at the moment because of the mild winter we’ve been having.

grow garlic, cauliflower ( purple and green last longer ) , potatoes , carrots , any root vegie is good but make sure you also do companion planting with merigolds and herbs as they attract good insects and help the growth off your vegies ….. also if you grow garlic next to roses it will bring out the purfume of the rose buds

in victoria pumpkin is a summer vegetable ( planted in spring harvested in autumn)
any of the brassica family ie cabbage cauliflower sprouts broccoli. turnips, beets
salad greens all year round might have to protect from frost

Bok Choy, pak Choy, silverbeet, garlic, leeks. I even tend to plant my coriander now and things that tend to bolt ( seed ) to quick in our warmer months. happy planting

I think beans, brussel sprouts, cabbage and carrots are good to plant in winter
