Hello!

“My 2.5yr old still has a bottle of milk before bed. How do we stop her from doing this. We have gotten rid of the dummy in the last 6 months and I worry without that bottle of milk she won’t be getting enough milk each day? Any suggestions? Thanks” Will my toddler get enough milk if I stop a bedtime bottle?

  • Or you could still give milk but in a sippy cup.

  • Try a desert instead of a bottle!

  • Substitute more dairy in her diet throughout the day with yoghurt and cheese. Try changing her bedtime bottle to a cup of water. You can always give her some warm milk in a cup before bed. Just make sure its before she brushes her teeth. At 2.5 she doesn’t need to be having a bottle anymore.

  • My daughter just wouldn’t stop her bottle before bed she had some huge tantrums . One day I put all her bottles in a bag and took them to a charity bin and told her I was giving it to another little girl that needed it.
She understood that there was no bottles in the house any more and was content. Its worth trying.
