I would be reluctant on this one before of the sixty kilo weight limit, it’s not very much. And you can get spring covers so you don’t need the springiness one. You can also get the safety nets to go around the trampolines too

We just have a simple one from the Aldi, with good netting, entrance with zip and a tight soft covering over the springs.

I think the pads you can get to cover the springs are good enough. And the mesh fencing type thing. Make sure you supervise them and it should be give. I never keg more then one kid on our trampoline at a time

A child can easily land awkwardly, slip and break a bone on one with springs at the side. The child wasn’t clowning around or being silly at all. I would definitely wait and get a springfree one surrounded by netting. However, make sure the opening is pretty small where the opening is zipped up as a child fell through a gap recently and landed head first on the bar that the legs are attached to. On the old type a toddler or small child can easily go from one side to the other with one bounce, right to the edge with no barrier to stop them falling onto the springs (the covers stop them getting trapped but don’t stopping them from bouncing off) ot off the trampoline completely They are good exercise and some kids love to join gym clubs that specialise in trampolining.

This is a question that I’ve been thinking about for my toddler. We have limited space. I would have loved a trampoline when I was a kid.

just get a normal trampoline, tell them the rules, and supervise play – we all grew up with them, and yes, minor injuries I guess, but that is part of play:) You jump on too, it is great fun x

Personally springs or no springs isnt that big of a deal since you have covers for springs but be wary of letting the toddler jump as they can get concussions easily. I wouldnt let him jump unsupervised but the most important thing is the weight limit you know kids will jump simultaneously no matter what so make sure its safe enough for them to do so.

I bought a Kmart 14′ one for my daughter for xmas last year. She adores it, but I wish I had bought a smaller one. Way to big

The spring-less ones are fantastic, I would wait and save a bit more for one.

our kids never had one as husband had safety concerns, kids do get injured falling off.

We’ve had a spring-type trampoline since the younger kids were 1 and 3 years old. (now 4 & 6) We have had no issues with this normal height model – the mats that cover the springs and the mesh sides has given us all the protection the kids need. We just use a plastic chair to make it easy to get on and off. I’m glad we bought this one as it suits our 13 year old triplets as well. It looks like we will get many years of play from this one trampoline. Mind you, if we could have afforded a spring free one at the time we would have preferred it.

We have a Plum 12 foot for our 2 and 5 year olds, not springless but fully enclosed with safety pads. They both love it.

I got one from kmart have had it for nearly 3 years and its still going havent had to replace anything on it.

We’ve had our trampoline for years. Toys r us brand enclosed net.No springs have broken. Got a replacement pad for $60. I would spend a lot $$ on a springless one

I don’t think it matters I’m sure they will will have fun either way..

I’d go for the springless one if you can wait to save til then.
From my own experiences, the springs are a terrible hazard. When they would pop off, they became missiles hitting the neighbour’s house, luckily no one was ever injured.
However, the springs also are a real danger for legs getting caught which really hurts.
I love that the trampoline will be for you as well haha happy bouncing.
