Hello!

It’s just a pot you say? No, no no! This is the kitchen bargain of the year, disguised as a humble Aldi cast-iron pot.

Aldi’s coloured cast iron pot range goes on sale as a special buy this coming Saturday 1 June. Be prepared to get there early as the pots flew off the shelves in minutes last year and we’re pretty sure the same will happen this weekend.

Prices start at $17.99 for the Crofton cast iron fry pan and go up to $24.99 for the cast iron French pan (3.2l). There’s also the popular 3.7l Dutch Oven for a mere $22.99 and the saucepan and stockpot both priced at an economical $19.99.

20 Times Cheaper

The pots have been likened to premium kitchen brand Le Creuset. These luxury products cost hundreds of dollars – Le Creuset’s equivalent of Aldi’s French Pan is 20 times more expensive at $500. That’s a whopping saving of $475!

Aldi fans have been vocal about their admiration for the cheaper copy-cat product. Many shoppers bought a pot in the sale last year and have been very impressed with how it has fared.

The Aldi pots will be available in red, white, black as well as the signature blue versions.

The pots are described as having a durable 3 layer enamel coating, suitable for all heat sources, dishwasher safe and comes with a 5-year warranty.

  • These would be great but knowing Aldi, there won’t be enough and will probably run out the same day the special starts. I don’t live anywhere near a store so at least I won’t be disappointed. I’m sure that’s how they get their customers in the doors.

  • These pots at Aldi are the BOMB I have these pots in a couple of different sizes and use them all the time. They are easy to use and look great in any colour in any kitchen. If you haven’t got one yet go and buy one you won’t regret it. I cook spaghetti, pot roast, and even have done a roast lamb once in one of these pots
