IKEA Launches Out-Of-This-World Space Collection For Kids!

If you’ve got a curious kid who loves all things space, you’re going to love IKEA’s latest children’s collection. It’s totally out of this world!

The AFTONSPARV Ikea collection has just launched, and draws its inspiration from space. It includes everything to transform their bedroom and playroom into the ultimate space odyssey.

The collection was developed in collaboration with a group of young space enthusiasts between the ages of three and seven, who took part in workshops to help create the range.

“We were surprised by how much knowledge the children had about our solar system and space,” says Marta Krupińska, designer at IKEA of Sweden. “But since science hasn’t discovered everything there is to know about the universe, there’s also lots of room for fantasy and own thoughts. There’s no limit to where play can take you.”

The collection includes soft toys, puppets, soft furnishings, a cardboard rocket play tent, lamps, bed linen and a glow-in-the-dark curtain. It’s available now in IKEA stores across Australia.

Oh my God, how impressive kids would love this. I would never buy tho as it’s something they’d grow out of after a few years. Affordability wise, I always buy stuff that grows with them so I’m not having to replace every few years

I’ve seen the ads for the tent but didn’t realise there was a whole collection. Christmas is coming and these are great ideas.

If only my boys were younger they would have loves these. I think I might still get them the curtains for the fun of it.
