You’ve heard there’s a way to earn cashback when shopping at your favourite stores, but not really sure how it all works? Take it from a mum who has been there and done that – I’m here to tell you it’s easy – almost like you’re being paid to shop!

Just like pretty much everyone else at the moment, my family budget has been blown out of the water. So I’m madly searching for ways to stretch our dollars further. A few months ago I signed up to Cashrewards, and have been watching my cashback amount growing nicely – I’m planning to take it all out after the Christmas shopping is done to use during the summer school holidays!

Hang on, slow down! What’s Cashrewards?

If you’re completely new to Cashrewards, here’s a quick rundown.

Cashrewards offers you cashback just by shopping at participating stores through the Cashrewards app or browser, online or in-store. So whether it’s travel, life’s little luxuries or those everyday essentials that always seem to run out, you could be getting a sweet savings boost with cashback.

If you want to get a bit of a feel for what it’s all about, just head to Cashrewards and check out all of the different brands and stores you can shop at. From travel to food and groceries, pet care and kids, you’ll find all of your favourite stores ready to give you cashback on your purchases! And you’ll probably discover a whole bunch of new stores to shop at as well.

All you need to do is sign up for free, and then download the app on your phone, or use your computer browser to shop via Cashrewards. As long as you’re logged in and shopping through Cashrewards, you’ll get cashback on your purchases. You can see how much cashback you’ll earn from each store (in percentage form), and honestly it’s amazing how quickly it adds up.

So, in a nutshell: you shop online and you can get cashback on the things you need, then withdraw those sweet savings into your bank or PayPal account and spend as you please!

Hip Hip Hooray, It’s Cashrewards Day!

As if getting real cashback from purchases isn’t enough, there’s a HUGE event that’s on right now, with fab cashback deals from leading brands.

Running from September 7-9, Cashrewards Day is one of the biggest cashback events of the year, where you can get a fresh dopamine hit from the cash you’ll get back just by shopping online!

So here’s a little taste of how you could cash in during Cashrewards Day just by treating the fam to a takeaway night (and you don’t even need to leave home!). Forget taco Tuesdays, at our place we’re all about sushi Saturdays (thanks to endless sports all day!).

Usually we can get 4.2% cashback* on our weekly sushi order through Menulog, which usually totals around $51.80 (that’s our order below – don’t judge we’re pretty tame sushi eaters!). So it’s around $2.17 cashback – and when you add that up over the course of the year, it’s a nice little nest egg – and that’s just one of the many purchases I make through Cashrewards regularly.

But here’s the kicker – during the Cashrewards Day event, Menulog is offering up to 20% cashback* capped at $10 with deals live from September 7-8 and 12% cashback* capped at $10 on September 9.

So we can enjoy our regular weekly sushi treat on Saturday night during the event and get up to $10 cashback into my bank account or Paypal account. It’s really that easy.

Cashrewards

Find out how you can get cashback on everyday purchases (and little luxuries) using Cashrewards. Now’s the perfect time to explore because Cashrewards Day has arrived! From September 7-9, enjoy epic deals across your favourite brands like Booking.com, Adore Beauty, Samsung, Menulog and more. It’s free to join so get an account now and complete your first shop to unlock a $20 welcome bonus.

  • I’ve heard of this but never really looked into it.

  • I use CashRewards and Shopback. There are a couple of others out there. Cheddar was one of them but I found they didn’t come through with their cashback offers. They have now shut up shop. Another around is TopCashback which I’ve yet to try.

The best way to take advantage of these things is to purchase during boosted offers. Yes it can take a while for the cash back to hit your account. Yes, it is mining your data but what do you think happens in a cyber attack. You may as well get paid for it. Flybuys and Everyday Rewards is mining your data, knowing when you shop, where you shop and what you buy so what is the difference? I stock up on alcohol at BWS and First Choice during a boosted cash back offer. I’ve been a member of ShopBack since 2018 and have withdrawn over $600 with over another $150 pending approval. Cash rewards I’ve been a member since late 2020, have a valance of almost $400 and have earnt over $500. Read all the terms and conditions when you make a purchase as there are excluded brands etc . If you have the choice of a discounted offer with a code or via cashback offer I would always go the code because there is a chance your cashback can be declined if you don’t follow all steps.

  • I love using my cashrewards app! Save so much by purchasing things I was already planning on purchasing

  • It is a great idea but for me, living in a small rural community I wouldn’t see much benefit anyway. I’m all for getting cash back though

  • I have earned some money with this one, but am yet to see the full benefits.

  • They all loo so stunning!! These are goals for sure

  • You’d have to make large purchases from shops you may not normally spend from, to get any decent cash back. Would be good for some!

  • Downloaded the app, but the promo code Mouths Of Mums does not work. Did Shopback for a while when it first started but getting the cashback money was so long in coming. Now very sceptical

  • The promo code mouthofmums doesn’t seem to work for me

  • I love cash rewards. Great way to save on normal purchases you would make anyway.

  • Sounds good. I will have to download the app.

  • I am signed up for Cashback and have a little money, but I don’t really get it. Do I have to purchase just from their list? I don’t think I earn $ when I purchase from the same brands but outside of the app??!!

  • Registered for Purkle and Shopback. Purkle I did quite a few surveys which do take up more time then stipulated on some surveys. Its not worth doing a survey just for a $1.
Shopback I starting using when the app finished came out. Found out that some rewards of cashback money were taking ages to hit my account.

  • I never remember to use Cashrewards although I have the app on my phone. I do surveys on Purkle a lot though.

  • Well, I use another app called Shopback (when I remember to use it lol) and it’s very similar. It’s sometimes good to have money back from something you were going to buy anyways.

  • Even though this is a great idea, I don’t buy from most of these stores because they don’t have what I want or need. Looking through the stores, there’s only 2 that I would use and that’s only every few months. Don’t think it would be worth it for me
