Krispy Kreme And Maltesers Have Married And Made A Malteser Doughnut

I cannot think of a more delicious partnership. Krispy Kreme doughnuts have coupled up with Maltesers to create an all-new, limited edition, one-of-a-kind: Malteser Doughnut.

This new scrumptious treat teams up an Original Glazed™ doughnut dressed with smooth, gooey milk choc ganache and topped with the crunch of Maltesers.

Both brands have been around since 1937 and they have a faithful following, so it makes sense that they join forces to make a doughnut especially for chocolate lovers.

Lots of Taste Tests

“Together with Maltesers®, we set out to create the ultimate chocolate doughnut. After plenty of product trials and taste testing, we’re thrilled to finally share our creation with the chocolate lovers of Australia,”
commented Krispy Kreme’s Food Technologist, Tasha Kaur.

Nicole Villari, Marketing Manager for Mars, which manufactures the beloved chocolate balls shared: “Our collaboration with Krispy Kreme really celebrates Australia’s love for Maltesers. It’s been incredible to see the flavour profile of our delicious Maltesers® being transformed in a new and exciting treat experience.”

Where Can You Buy A Malteser Doughnut?

The limited-edition doughnut creation is available from today (Tues 3 March) at Krispy Kreme locations and 7-Eleven stores from this Friday, 6 March.

The Malteser doughnut is also available online through UberEATS and Krispy Kreme Click & Collect.

The new addition to the Krispy Kreme family costs $3.60 each or $28.95 for a dozen .

But hurry, this delicious doughnut is only available until 27 April in-store, online and via UberEATS at Krispy Kreme stores in NSW, QLD, VIC, ACT and WA. And 7-Eleven and select BP stores (QLD only), it will be sold until 2 April.

So I’m not a huge fan of Krispy Kreme donuts. I think the hype was so great, that there was a letdown when I tried one. I’d be prepared to try one of these new ones, but I’m not near a Krispy Kreme outlet so won’t be fussed if I miss it.
