Prince Harry and Meghan's Big Royal Baby Announcement

Buckingham Palace has officially revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will keep the birth of their baby private.

It is understood that there will not be a photo show outside the hospital like Prince William and Kate.

It is more likely that photographs of Meghan and Harry’s baby will be released a few days after the birth.

“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very grateful for the goodwill they have received from people throughout the United Kingdom and around the world as they prepare to welcome their baby,” a statement from the palace read.

“Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private. The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family.”

The news has received a mixed reaction from the public, with many royal fans pleased with the couple’s decision to enjoy private time with their newborn, before announcing the birth.

I guess being 5/6 in line to the throne means Harry doesn’t have to put his baby on show. I’m sure Megan will be pleased to get time as a family first, especially as a first time mum.

good on them for making that decision BUT I think it is less to do with privacy and more to do with trying to build up anticipation and “publicity” for them, I think Meghan is more worried about fame than much else,I hope I am wrong but I don’t get a good feeling about her

Like Hrry and Megan’s decision to spend time with their new bub before’ goes on public display. They have right to some privacy from media, like many others I am excited and waiting to see them and their new baby. I watched show yest on Netflix showing Diana story and it was horrific to see how she was hounded by press, so good on you Harry and Megan and best wishes.

Good on them. I’m sure the mom needs some rest too. Not rushing to tidy up and stand there for everyone to take photos.
