Ingredients

  • apples
  • cinnamon
  • sugar (optional)

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 120 degrees. Core and thinly slice apples.
  2. Lay out apple slices on baking tray and sprinkle with cinnamon. You can also add sugar at this point for added sweetness.
  3. Bake in oven for 2 hours, turning half way.

Notes

These are also nice served alongside a yogurt dip.

  • Baked apple chips are a fantastic alternative to other snacks like potato chips. I also like banana chips. Having a range of different options is a good idea but these do sound really delicious. I love cinnamon and it goes so well with apples. I wonder if you can still taste the cinnamon as much once they are cooked?

  • I love this, it sounds fantastic. NIce and healthy, really easy to make, and not too expensive either. I love how very easy it is to make too – I can’t be handling really complicated recipes right now. This is just perfect. Thank you very much – I’ll be trying this one this week.

  • Yum, I love dried apple. We used to add a spray of lemon juice too to add a bit of tang and to stop the apples from going brown.

  • Does this works for most fruits? I don’t have kitchen space for a dehydrator and we love dried fruit but don’t like the store ones as they’re too sweet.
