This goes nice with poached pears, not too hard either!
Ingredients (serves 4)
- 3 cups whole milk
- 4 eggs
- 1tsp vanilla essence
- 1/2tsp cinnamon sugar
- 2tsp caster sugar
- 1 pinch nutmeg
Method
- Blend together the milk, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon & sugar
- transfer mixture into ramekins
- Place the oven-proof dish in a bain Marie (larger roasting pan filled with water coming about half way up the dish)
- Sprinkle with a nutmeg and Bake for 45 minutes or until a knife inserted in the custard comes out clean
