A nice and easy cake to make for afternoon tea!
Ingredients (makes 1 22 cm cake)
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 125 grams Butter
- 2 cups Self raising flour
- 2 Eggs
- 3 Ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/4 cup Milk
- 1 level teaspoon BiCarb soda
- 1/2 punnet Raspberries
Method
- Cream butter and sugar
- Add eggs, mix, then add bananas
- Add half the flour and bicarb, mix well add the milk ,mix well Add the remainder of the flour and bicarb, mix well
- Stir through the raspberries
- Pour into a greased and paper lined 22 cm cake tin
- Bake in a moderate (180) oven 35 mins. or until cooked through when tested with a skewer
Notes
You could ice this cake if you like or serve it with cream. I just like it as it is with a cuppa!
