Brigadeiros (Brazilian chocolate balls) are a big hit at Brazilian parties. From kids to adults, everyone loves them!

Ingredients (serves 10)

  • 1 can Nestle Condensed Milk
  • 2 Tbsp Chocolate Powder (cocoa)
  • 2 Tbsp Butter
  • 150 grams Chocolate Granules or Coconut Flakes

Method

  1. Place the condensed milk, chocolate powder and butter in a saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly, for about 10 minutes or until mixture starts to come away from sides of the pan.
  2. Remove from heat and allow to cool. When cool enough to handle, using your hands, shape mixture into small-sized balls.
  3. Roll in chocolate granules (or coconut flakes), then place in patty cases.
  4. Eat immediately or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week.

  • These look amazing. They definitely wouldn’t last long in our house. I imagine they’d be gone in one hit!

  • I’m not sure it would be safe for me to make these. I’m a confessed chocaholic and they wouldn’t last 5 minutes once made.

We have something similar in our culture but they are small logs and covered in sugar.

  • This sounds amazing! Like a fudge I would imagine. I think they would be best with the chocolate dollar sprinkles (the coconut would still be good though).
