Little kids just love these and you can even make the cute out into animal shapes too

Ingredients (serves 1)

  • 1 slice bread

  • 1 teas butter

Method

  1. Butter the bread on both sides. Using a small round cutter, cut a hole out of the centre

  3. Flip the bread over and gently break the egg into the hole. Cook on low heat until the eggs is set to your liking
  4. Serve

  • I remember these from when I was a kid. Love them & still cook them often. We call them toad in the hole though. It\’s funny cos my 3 year old doesn\’t like them, she will only eat the circle part of the bread.

  • I make these every weekend, instead I use a heart cutter & add grated carrot on top to toast once flipped. Kids love it & so do the adults
