Caramel Sauce can be used on Sticky Date pudding, Nutella Mugs, Ice-cream, bananas and cream etc

Ingredients (serves 8)

  • 50g Butter
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 cup Cream
  • 1 tbsp Water

Method

  1. Put all ingredients in a saucepan over low heat. Stirring until the sugar and butter dissolve.
  2. Increase heat and bring to the boil.
  3. Boil for 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Bottle...or enjoy it straight away.

  • What a nice simple recipe! I am not the best at caramels but this looks easy enough, I wonder if the caramel should reach a certain temp before removing for the boil or if a generic 2 minutes is enough? I prefer a thicker sauce so if I give this ago might play around a bit with the timing
