Yummy chicken stir fry for the whole family.


Ingredients (serves 6)

  • 1/4 Purple cabbage
  • 440g Hokkein noodles
  • 1 carrot- ribbons
  • 1 large floret Broccoli
  • 1 zucchini- ribbons
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup oyster sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 Double breast chicken fillet
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

Method

  1. Combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown vinegar, sesame oil and sugar in a small bowl.
  2. heat wok add a splash of oil if necessary, brown chicken. Add all vegetables and sauce. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Soak noodles in hot water until they seperate. Drain water, add noodles to wok. Simmer for a further 5 minutes. Serve with a sprinkle of sesame seeds.

Notes

This can be made with beef, prawns, pork etc or without meat. Add or remove any other vegies you like. This dish is very versatile!

  • Everything sounds good except for the cabbage! No way would I get my family to eat that!

  • I love the colours in this, and the flavours sound amazing. I’d probably add a dash of tabasco or chilli, but I know all our family would love this. Wonder if I could get one of them to cook it for me?
