Great heated and served with butter.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Chopped Dates
- 1 tsp Bi Carb of Soda
- 2 Tbsp Butter
- 1 cup Boiling Water
- 3/4 cup Castor Sugar
- 1 Beaten Egg
- 2 cups Self Raising Flour
- 1 tsp Vanilla Essence
Method
- Cover dates, butter, bi carb with the water.
- When cool, add sugar, beaten egg, flour and vanilla. Mix well.
- Cook in a bar tin, in a moderate oven (180 degrees) for approx 45min.
