A good old fashioned meatloaf which doesn't take long to whip up.
Ingredients (serves 6)
- 500 grams sausage mince
- 500 grams beef mince
- 2 onions, chopped
- 2 packets french onion soup mix
- 1 egg
- squirt tomato sauce
- herbs, salt and pepper
- breadcrumbs
Method
- Mix the meats together.
- Add the onion and soup mix packets - mix again.
- Add the sauce, eggs and herbs/seasoning. Mix well.
- Coat in breadcrumbs.
- Cook at 180 degrees for around 1 hour (covered or in an oven bag).
Notes
I often divide this into two meatloafs and free one (too much for our small family). You can also divide by four for even smaller servings. I serve with lots of veggies and gravy. You can also add chilli sauce for some zing and of course some grated veggies (I don't add veggies as I serve up with so many).
