  • I do love to go straight to the cheese counter when at the markets and select the yummiest cheese. I always buy brie because it is a favourite cheese to buy and to eat. Brie cheese is so delicious and this recipe is ideal; it is impossible to go wrong with ham and cheese on a toastie.

  • These Tip Top Thins in Wholemeal are so handy for the times you don’t have fresh bread or even just for a change. You really can add anything on these. Ham, lettuce, cheese and chutney are a classic you can’t go wrong. Enjoy these at home or for a take to work lunch.

  • A classic ham, cheese sandwich with a bit of a twist. The lettuce is a good option to pop on. I do like there are only seven ingredients, so the recipe is pretty easy. I would try this with some salami or pastrami. Yum. I’m getting very hungry now. Haha

  • This looked SOOO Good but there was a problem when trying to eat this. Very messy, everything everywhere NOT good to eat when travelling. I would leave this for eating on weekends.

  • No ham for me (as I’m a vegetarian), but brie and lettuce are lovely and I would probably add some tomato, garlic, mushroom and dukkah too. I’m not a fan of mango chutney and not a big bread eater either, but bring on the sesame seeds (actually I’m a fan of all seeds).

  • All the recipes look really yummy. I can’t wait to try them.I know that my family will really love them to. They look so fresh and healthy. Just what my family needs. They don’t look to hard to make, I think that my children could make these meals. Thank you.

  • I love the look of this recipe ! Its fresh and full of tasty bits and pieces that I enjoy. I would not have thought to use thins for this, having made something similar with a croissant, but Thins would be a lower calorie version. The use of the mango chutney sounds amazing as it would cut through the strength of the brie. Yummo :)

  • I don’t know about the brie or the mango chutney, mango isn’t my favourite flavour. But I love looking at recipes that inspire my creativity. This would go great with a swiss cheese and some honey mustard mayonnaise. Kind of like my favourite sub, but in a smaller serving. Delicious.

  • Now, I’m not wild about brie, but if I was ever going to try it again, it’d be in a recipe like this. It does sound very tempting.

  • This ham and brie toastie recipe offers a simple yet delicious meal option, perfect for a quick lunch. The combination of creamy brie, salty ham, and optional mango chutney creates a balanced flavor profile, and the use of Tip Top Thins provides a lighter alternative to traditional bread. However, the recipe could benefit from clearer instructions, such as specifying how thick to slice the brie or providing tips to prevent sogginess when toasting. Additionally, more variations or ingredient suggestions, like adding spinach, caramelized onions, or a different chutney, would enhance its versatility. While the method for toasting is straightforward, offering an oven-baked alternative could cater to those without a sandwich press or non-stick pan. Overall, it’s a solid recipe with room for creative expansion.
