Quick and tasty biscuits!
Ingredients (makes 25 biscuits)
- 150grams butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon Golden Syrup
- 1 teaspoon bi-carb soda
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 3/4 cups Plain flour
Method
- Place butter, sugar and Golden Syrup in a medium or large saucepan. Heat slowly, stirring constantly until all melted together. Simmer for a few minutes then remove from heat and allow to cool.
- Dissolve bi-carb soda into milk and add to saucepan mixture, then add sifted flour. Mix well.
- Roll teaspoon size balls with the mixture. Place onto a lined baking tray and press down with a fork.
- Bake at 180C until just turning golden, or a little longer if you like them crunchier.
