An easy to make, delicious to eat, slow cooked roast alternative.
Ingredients (serves 4)
- 1.5 kg Beef, blade cut
- 110 grams Butter
- 4 Peppercorns
- 1 Tbsp Dill, fresh
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 Tbsp Parsley, fresh
- 1 tsp Dried minced onion
- 1 tsp Onion powder
Method
- Put the beef in your slow cooker with the butter on top.
- Sprinkle remaining ingredients on top of beef and butter.
- Cook on low for 7-8 hours, depending on your slow cooker.
Notes
Once the roast is finished cooking I use the left over juice to make an amazingly delicious gravy to serve with the roast. Just mix 2 Tbsp of the juice with 2 Tbsp of flour in a saucepan to create a roux. Then add the remaining juice by the cup and mix well over a low heat. Stop adding juice when it gets to your desired thickness. This really completes the meal.
