These are the tastiest little canapés! Probably more adults only but my 10 year old loves them too!

Ingredients (makes 20 Individual dates)

  • 100g Blue Brie/ blue vein cheese (or substitute)
  • 20 Whole fresh Dates
  • 10 Rashes of prosciutto

Method

  1. Remove seeds from dates, I use the blunt end of a chopstick to push the seed up & out
  2. Fill the hole left by the seed with your blue cheese
  3. Slice prousciutto in half (so its half as long) and gently roll your stuffed date up, you can secure it with a tooth pick if needed!

Notes

I love the balance of flavours, they are quite rich so go a long way on a platter. I have seen them grilled too, but I love them fresh with a crisp wine!

  • I’d like to try these with brie or camembert, coz I’m not at all keen on blue cheese of any sort. I’m guessing that I could substitute bacon for the prosciutto.

    • wow yes that sounds like a good version of this and as long as it tastes great, who cares what is being substituted lol

  • These sound so amazing. For those who do not like blue cheese. Use marscpone . It is delish with dates and Proscuitto. :-)
