This oat slice is very quick and easy, perfect for lunch boxes.


Ingredients (makes 1 Cake tin)

  • 250g Oats
  • 125g Butter
  • 125g Golden syrup
  • 75g Brown sugar

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 170 degrees. Line a square cake tin with baking paper.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter, sugar and golden syrup until it becomes a liquid. Stir to combine.
  3. Mix in the oats to the butter mixture. Pour into tin and bake for approximately 30 minutes. Leave to cool and slice.

Notes

Dried fruit can be added with the oats.
