This simple lasagne does not require bechamel sauce which is time consuming to make. You can make it as cheesey as you like.
Ingredients (serves 6)
- 500g mince
- 700g Passatta
- 1 cup Water
- 3 Tbsp Tomato paste
- 1 Onion
- 1 Garlic clove
- 1 Packet Lasagne sheets
- 500g Ricotta
- Mixed Herbs
- Parmesan Cheese
- Mozarella Cheese
Method
- Fry onion and garlic. Add mince and cook. Add water and passatta, tomato paste and mixed herbs. Simmer for 20 minutes or until it reduces slightly.
- In a large baking dish cover the base with a small amount of the pasta sauce. Then layer lasagne sheets, 1/3 amount sauce, 1/3 amount of ricotta, mozzarella and parmesan to cover the sauce. Repeat so 3 layers are created finishing with a cheese layer.
- Bake for approximately 1/2 an hour or 3/4 hour or until nice and golden on top.
