A really nice tea biscuit.


Ingredients (serves 20)

  • 375g Plain flour
  • 250g Butter
  • 125g caster sugar
  • pinch salt
  • icing sugar for top

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 170C.
  2. Beat together the butter and sugar and then add the flour and salt.
  3. Roll out onto a floured surface and cut into shapes and put on baking tray.
  4. Bake in oven for 10 minutes. Then turn it down to 150 C for last bit of cooking approx 5 minutes.
  5. Cool then sift icing sugar over them. Store in an air tight container between sheets of baking paper.

    • Will use some other cookie cutters too – moon shaped ones will look good with the stars.
