These Japanese chicken meatballs are perfect for frying or BBQing. (they will hold together on a skewer).

Ingredients (serves 6 | makes 20 )

  • 1 Inghams Chicken Meatballs. 400gm
  • 1/4 cup Tara sauce

Method

  1. Tare sauce: Mix 2 tbs soy sauce, 1 tsp brown sugar, 1/2 tsp each crushed ginger and crushed garlic , dash of red wine vinegar and S&P. Microwave on med/high until 5 mins so sauce thickens.
  2. BBQ, or fry the meatballs in peanut oil until cooked through and golden.
  3. Brush with the tare sauce, which will give them a glistening sweet and salty glaze. Pop a few cold meatballs into a lunchbox.

Notes

Simple serve hot on a bed of green salad for a simple fast meal.

  • This sounds quite delicious. I’d make my own meatballs though instead of packaged, but the sauce would add a lovely kick. Thanks for the tare sauce recipe.
