More about the Cetaphil Baby range

Cetaphil Baby products are specially formulated for babies’ delicate skin. The range is dermatologically tested, colourant free, paraben free, and mineral oil free. It also helps soothe itchiness and discomfort associated with skin irritation and excessive dryness.

The Cetaphil Baby Massage Oil can be used daily to help protect skin from dryness and retain moisture. Simply pour the oil into your hand, rub both hands together to warm oil, then gently massage oil all over baby’s body.

The Cetaphil Baby Gentle Wash & Shampoo should be poured into hands or wash cloth and applied to baby’s hair and body. Lather, rinse and towel dry. If it gets into your baby’s eyes, rinse with water.

Pour the Cetaphil Baby Daily Lotion into your hand. Rub both hands together to warm lotion, then gently apply to baby’s face and body. If it gets into your baby’s eyes, rinse with water.

Us mums know that babies thrive with routines, so here’s hoping the lucky mums and bubs who are a part of this trial feel the positive benefits of this Happy Baby guide – because who doesn’t want a happy bubba!

Here’s the Cetaphil Baby Six Steps© to a Happy Baby guide

Step 1: Massage
Important to help parents and baby bond, through touch. Place baby on their back on a stable safe surface. Pour Cetaphil Baby Massage Oil into your hands and rub together to warm oil. Commence at the ankles in a gentle circular motion and move upwards toward the hip. Complete on both sides. Repeat this process on the arms. If the baby is comfortable place baby on their tummy (ensuring babies head it turned to one side for breathing) and massage baby with long strokes up the back and off the shoulders and then down the whole body.

Step 2: Bath
Wrap baby in a loose swaddle, then clean their head with the Cetaphil Baby Gentle Wash & Shampoo so that they stay warm and soothed. Clean their eyes using one cotton wool for each eye and clean from “inside to outside”. Unwrap baby and hold baby length-ways in your arms ensuring you have a firm grip and to keep babies head out of the water. Gently introduce them into the water – feet first then the rest of the body. You can use the Cetaphil Baby Gentle Wash & Shampoo which is specially formulated for baby’s delicate skin.

Step 3: Moisturise
Moisturising is important to keep baby’s skin nourished and hydrated. Gently rub Cetaphil Baby Daily Lotion into baby’s skin in circular motions across the entire body. Avoid eye area.

Step 4: Feed
Feed on demand as every babies requirements are different. Breast feeding is the preferred option of most experts, however you decide what is best for your baby.

Step 5: Swaddle
Swaddling helps babies to feel safe and protected because it mimics what was in utero and to stop startle reflex ensuring better sleep for baby and you. It can take some time to learn how to swaddle in a way that suits your baby, so don’t be disheartened if they wriggle out in the first instance, simply try again.

Step 6: Sleep
The safety and wellbeing of baby during sleep is paramount. All babies must sleep on their back on a breathable surface with their feet touching the end of the cot. Ensure no hats on babies as it can cause babies to overheat and will increase risk of SIDS. Ensure the sleep space is free from bumpers, pillows and soft toys.

    After giving my baby girl a bath and washing her down with the cetaphil baby wash and shampoo, we go into her room and I papmper her by gently rubbing the cetaphil baby oil all over her little body. I love that the oil isnt at all to heavy, its a nice and light texture that does spread nice and evenly along the skin, it leaves my baby smelling so yummy too. its a delight!

  • Fantastic product and will buy again!

    Thank you so much for the opportunity to review the baby Cetaphil products. Absolutely loved the ease of having the wash and shampoo all in one made bath time so much easier. The products were great for bubbas sensitive and delicate skin so I actually tried them on my four year old who has very sensitive skin and the lotion really moistened her skin. I am really impressed with these products and would definitely purchase again!!!

  • Absolute essentials!

    I’ve been using these products since my newborn daughter arrived into the world. Given she’s a vomiter and can create some pretty amazing poopy messes, products to give her a thorough clean is absolutely essential. The Cetaphil baby wash and shampoo is so gentle and smells lovely. The moisturiser and massage oil have been incredible to keep that newborn flaky skin at bay, and the massage oil has become part of our bedtime routine to relax her and get her ready for sleep.

  • Soothing and gentle on delicate baby skin

    So happy to be able to trial this cetaphil baby range. Both baby and I feel happy after using it. I love the baby 6 steps happy guide. The massage steps its such a great way for the baby and mother to relax. I love how when I use the massage oil on her. She’s so relax and happy. I love the whole bonding moment with her and knowing I am using a great gentle safe product on her. The gentle wash and shampoo it’s so convenient to use as its 2 in 1. I can use it on her hair and body. It is hassle free and gentle on her skin. The lotion will protect her skin whole day. Overall really happy with cetaphil baby range and have already stock up more from the whole range.

  • Great range, perfect for my baby!

    The cetaphil range is fantastic. Firstly the daily lotion has a nice consistency and worked wonders on my baby’s dry skin. It’s now silly smooth. We have even had comments on how nice his skin is!
    The wash and shampoo is gentle on their skin and we found also smells really nice.
    The massage lotion didn’t feel as oily as normal ones so that was fantastic. My son enjoys the massages with this and it isn’t even sticky for his clothes.

    I was absolutely thrilled to be selected to test the Cetaphil Baby range. My newest daughter is 3 weeks old and it came in perfect time to test and see if it became a part of our night routine.
    I’m here to say YES! I’m here to say Welcome to the family, Cetaphil!
    The Gentle Wash and Shampoo is genius! A 2 in 1 combination to tackle the body and hair. The scent is sweet, it’s soap free which is a bonus for sensitive skin and won’t leave you fumbling your sweet kids like footballs, and come on, who DOESN’T like bubbles?! It leaves my little girls hair like soft, fluffy fuzz.
    The Daily Lotion is silky smooth and actually absorbs into the skin unlike other moisturisers I’ve tried where it just settles for hours. Coming into winter we can be prone to dry skin when we’re staying cosy warm indoors, I feel reassured from this trial that Cetaphil’s lotion will give a protective barrier.
    And the massage oil, oh heavens this is a game changer for us! My bub has belly pains especially in the evening and she calms right after a massage. The oil smells divine, and it also soaks nicely into her skin! It’s not too slippery, doesn’t leave residue on our favourite outfits and it’s calming as a signal that bedtime is soon approaching.
    I highly highly recommend the Cetaphil range as part of your family. It’s affordable, it’s safe for all skin types and it works!

  • Prepare for smooth calmed skin

    I love cetaphil products as not only is it amazingly soft on my babies skin but also soothing and calming. Both my babies have very sensitive skin so I need to make sure to be using the right products not to dry or irritate their skin. I certainly say to other parents to try cetaphil products out.

  • Best thing since sliced bread!

    Omg! Was the first words that came to mind when Hudson and I tried the products for the first time! The smell of the body wash was so pleasant and left his skin feeling so soft and amazing! Another feature I absolutely loved was the bumps on the sides of the body wash bottle! It made my grip so much better on the wet bottle so no more slipping out of my hands and going everywhere! The body lotion has left Hudson’s face looking and feeling so much better! I honestly cannot fault this product and will 100% be buying this all the time!!

    It has been wonderful incorporating this system into our routine and is something I will keep doing with my bub. The Gentle wash and shampoo is delicate and light and the massage oil is smooth and absorbs well into babies skin. The daily lotion has the most AMAZING smell, love it!

  • Lovely products, difficult packaging

    While convenient that it is two products in one bottle, the packaging of the Gentle Wash & Shampoo was difficult for me. I either bring my 12 week old in the shower with me or give her a bath, and for both I need at least one hand holding her. This made it hard to dispense the product as I only had one free hand. It would be much safer to have a pump bottle so it can be dispensed with one hand.I alternate the lotion and the oil after baby’s bath depending on whether I have time to give her a massage. Both have been great in soothing bub’s skin and supporting bonding after a bath between her and myself or her dad. Massages with the oil followed by a feed ensure a nice long sleep. The products all smell wonderful and are not overpowering, keeping that lovely baby scent on her skin.

  • Great wash can give other products a miss

    Really loved the body wash, light fresh fragrance, bubbles for the bath and leaves the skin feeling clean and not dry. The body lotion was easy to apply and doesn’t leave a greasy residue however the smell was really strong for a baby lotion – I wouldn’t use this on my newborn maybe when the baby is older. Massage oil also had a strong fragrance, would have preferred the oil in a pump bottle, it’d be easier to use.

  • Smells and feels amazing.

    These products are fantastic, not just for bub but us big people too. They smell as good as they feel on the skin. The massage oil is brilliant, thick (not watery like other brands) & doesn’t seep or leak out of the bottle when you knock it over accidentally (and yes, other brands always seep and leak), so Cetaphil have kicked huge goals with the packaging of their Baby massage oil……that’s as nice on adult feet/legs when straight out of a hot shower as it is on the little guy after his bath. We will keep on buying these products because they’re brilliant, and have already purchased some to include in hampers for friends who are due to pop any day soon. Truly a delightful range, that doesn’t break the bank either.

  • Highly recommend the gentle wash and shampoo!

    I have been using the cetaphil gentle wash and shampoo and baby lotion daily in my baby’s routine for the last few days and I am very happy with both of the products. They are very gentle and don’t dry out his skin. The lotion has a nice smell to it and moisturises well without leaving his skin really oily. Absolute must for all newborns!

  • Soft, gentle and great smell

    I used the oil behind my babies ears where he has dry skin and it helped so much. It was soft, smooth and gentle on his skin, it has a really lovely smell. The lotion and wash also great on the skin, he had no reaction and left his body soft and moisturised.

  • Amazing!

    Used this before bedtime last night my 3 year old insisted she try it too. First I bathed both my 3 month old and almost 3 year old, the shampoo and wash smells amazing. not too strong and lathers great I found it did dry my newborns skin out a little but the massage oil and daily lotion fixed that right up. The massage oil was next; it wasn’t too oily and absorbed extremely well and I loved how it smelt. Then the daily lotion; this is amazing and it finished the routine of perfectly, it is like soft and silky, absorbs extremely well and didn’t leave an oil or greasy feeling on my newborn or 3 year olds skins they both smelt amazing after this routine and their skins are super soft my newborn is prone to dry skin has had it since birth, today she has no dry skin. My mother complimented how yummy my newborn smells today all I’ve done different is use these products I’d 100% recommend this product my only regret is not taking before and after photos of my newborns skin.

  • Cetaphil Baby products

    I have sensitive skin myself so naturally I worry about my little ones skin. The cetaphil body wash was soft on her skin, she had no bad reactions and she smells nice and clean after her bath. My little one hates baths but she seems to quite enjoy being washed with the body wash.She didn’t like the lotion so much but tolerates it. Again it is soft on her skin no reactions. I’ve had no reactions either whilst applying it. She didn’t mind the baby oil but it hasn’t really had an effect in getting her to sleep. She is a pretty good sleeper anyway.

  • Great for all ages!

    I always like to test products before using it on the little ones! I trialed the products on my right hand to see how well they work. Overall, as the packaging says, these Cetaphil products do preserve the skins moisture barrier, which in turn, helps keep moisture locked in. This is especially great during the winter months.I’m pleased that these are pH balanced and soap free as often these are the causes of dry skin.

    The cetaphil baby range is fabulous! The smell of the wash gives your bub that nice baby smell that everyone loves, we have gotten many compliments on how good our little one smells since using these products. The gentle wash and shampoo can also be used as a bubble bath, our little one loves to play in the bubbles. The daily lotion is used every morning as part of our routine and after each swimming lesson to help stop bubs skin drying out. The massage oil helps calm and relax bub before bed. Overall these products are fabulous and I will definitely be recommending them to other mums.

  • Best baby skin care products on the market

    The cetaphil baby skin care products are a big hit in our household, they smell great and leave bub smelling great too. The wash and shampoo is gentle on their delicate skin and we also use it as a bubble bath. The massage oil is great to use post bath just before bed, it helped us create a calm and relaxing scene for bub before getting dressed into our pyjamas. We use the daily lotion as part of our morning routine when getting dressed for the day and also after every swimming lesson (as the chlorine can make bubs skin quite dry and itchy). Overall I loved the cetaphil baby range and will definitely continue to use them for bub and recommend the products to others.

  • Amazing gentle products for bubs

    I loved the Cetaphil range for my baby (10 weeks old) We followed Cetaphil’s 6 steps to a happy baby and she certainly was. The packaging is presented well, looks appealing, professional and has that cute factor too. The fragrance of the products is soft and subtle – reminding me of the delicious new baby smell. I was able to use the wash and shampoo in one, it kept my babies skin soft and didn’t dry it out like some other brands. The massage oil and lotion added extra layers of hydration. I think we are definitely getter better nights sleep since using Cetaphil baby and following all the steps. Overall we really loved this range and will continue to use and purchase it.

    The massage oil was easy to apply and rub in. Great smell. Wash and shampoo used on both my children sensitive to not irritate the eyes great for an all body wash. Daily lotion was soft and easy to rub in. Leaving skin soft and moist. A great pack which I will continue to use.

    I love how gentle and moisturising all of the Cetaphil baby products are. They have a calming, not overpowering fragrance and don’t leave sticky residue. The wash and shampoo lathers up easily on baby’s hair and washes away without causing any irritation. The lotion glides on and leaves baby’s skin soft and moisturised. The massage oil is my baby’s favourite and a welcome part of our night time routine. I highly recommend these baby products to all parents.   • Baby massage, baby bliss

    I generally do not like baby oil or baby massage oil as I have not had a good experience with it in the past. Previously I have found it to be heavy, greasy and cause bub to be sweaty. That was until I tried the Cetaphil range. It is light, quickly absorbed into the skin and doesn’t leave a greasy residue all over baby’s skin or my hands. Cetephil baby massage oil is lightly scented and creates beautiful bonding moments for mums, bubs and other members of the family.   • Beautiful products

    I’ve long been a user of Cetaphil for myself (face wash and moisturiser) and was lucky enough to be selected for this review on their baby range. I have to honestly say, I LOVE it! It smells divine, leaves my 3 week old smelling amazing. The wash and shampoo are simple and make sense to combine these products when they are so small and bath times need to be quick (new baby hates the bath but the protests are easing). My baby’s skin peeled (he was overdue), the moisturiser and massage oil helped restore balance to his skin. It is a lovely range that I trust and would purchase time and time again. ‘They Taste Amazing, I’ll Definitely Be Stocking Up Again’

Having three young kids, juggling their commitments and her own as a school teacher means Kristie Young’s days revolve around snacking on-the-go. “I’m putting them on the shopping list, so when I run out of these, I’m off to get some more for myself. My partner tried them, and he’s approved them. He wants some too.
