My son bought me a DC59 animal digital slim two and a half years ago. OMG I love it. He bought it for me to make it easier for because I have a disability. I have timber floors and one big rug. It gets used at least twice a day. It was being used so much I wore the head out. I rang Dyson even though I had run out of warranty they replaced the head for me. I would not ever ever be without my Dyson. Definately 5+ stars.

It's been almost 12 months since using the Dyson DC59 vacuum and it is fantastic. I use it every day, my in laws even bought one after trying out ours. It saved my back whilst heavily pregnant and gets a really good workout in our house with 3 kids and a dog! I still can't speak highly enough of the Dyson DC59 Animal vacuum. It's so easy to use and now that we've mounted it on the wall in the laundry, there is no need to worry about remembering to recharge it.
Particularly after mealtimes with the kids, the Dyson DC59 Animal is a great way to do a quick clean without having to worry about getting out our main vacuum.
I love it so much I've even talked my parents into getting one...and they love theirs too!

I actually went out and purchased one of these after reading the fabulous reviews.. and I was just as impressed as everyone else seems!
The power is incredible and really does pick up everything. I live in a home with 3 cats and get ALOT of fur around the home.. this picks up everything and is SO powerful I was blown away bu tits performance! Its so light to hold and the swivel on the head makes it even more accessible throughout the home. I can get under so much more than I could with my previous vacuum and the attachments are great for not only all the crevices throughout my house, but also for getting into the tight spots in my car.
I am so impressed with this vacuum and have recommended it to others,, its outstanding in performance and the power is amazing!

I absolutely love this thing, after using it for a while now I dont think we will ever use our full size vaccuum again. This has just as much power and alot more convienient. Breaking it down into the important features I would have this to say:
Power: Excellent!
Battery Life: OK but only lasts 6 minutes on turbo mode (which you really need to use on carpet, we usually can clean 2 lounge rooms and a bedroom on 1 charge)
Ease of use: Good but emptying can be a little difficult, usually after using for a full charge you need to remove the whole canister to empty it out
Build Quality: Ok - Some of the joints feel a little flimsy and not sure if they will last the distance, but we will see. The filter on top doesnt lock in and ours is loose and falls out if you tip the vacuum up, I did call the warranty and they sent out a new filter but it still falls out, must just be a design flaw, I will just fix with some sticky tape i guess.
Warranty: As I said above I had to have the filter replaced and I was very impressed with the warranty process, they simply mailed out the new part without me having to lift a finger, I also have a full size Dyson which I had to get a replacement part under warranty and they also sent that out free of charge no fuss!

I am very impressed with my new Dyson Animal DC59. It is very light and handy to use, the swivel head is excellent and almost intuitive. It also excellent for cleaning my car, just a breeze . If glamourous camping is called glamping, then the Dyson is so stylish it should be called Glacuuming!

i love the dyson brand, we have this Stick vac at work and it was convenient for the office although for home use only really does the trick in hard to reach places and up high. i would still have to vacuum with the my other vac to get the house clean.
i would recommend to those who don't have much of an area to clean.

Bought this as we are renovating and our tiled floors and floorboards are always dusty. We looked at another brand, but went for this one as the thinner head fits under furniture. Battery lasts around fifteen minutes. Enough for a quick scoot around the living areas. Sucks well. Couldn't live without it now. Proper vacuum comes out once a month. would recommend to clean freaks or busy people

I love this vacuum that much that I bought one for my mums birthday. I love how easy it is to clean the house and get into tight areas. This saves my back injury every time as its such a light weight product. The only down fall I have is the battery only lasting for 20mins can sometimes not be long enough and having to wait the 3 hours for it to recharge before you can use it again. Other then that I Llooovvvveee it:).
Every morning I come into the lounge room to survey the trail of destruction my kids have already created, normally there is dry cereal all over the carpet! This used to drive me crazy but now I just pick up my Dyson and suck it all up! I actually tried using my old vacuum cleaner the other day and after 2 minutes gave up and picked up my Dyson again. I was able to finish the vacuuming whilst carrying my 9 month old teething baby around!

I use this daily it is just brilliant so powerful for my inbetween vacuuming especially after my grandkids have visited makes short work of dusting using the attachments which are easy to change I am able to reach the cornices to rid the cobwebs, awesome for cleaning the inside of my car can get into all the nooks a crannies just love it

I got all the skirting and edges of my hardwood floors throughout the house and there was still so much battery left. Absolutely loved this product! It's great, keeps pet hair at bay and my carpet is always clean. It's powerful yet compact, stays charged for ages and rarely loses auction or power. My dog is a little hesitant of it. My kids love helping out and because it's light they can. Dyson impressed me yet again! Would definitely recommend it. Target had them super cheap too!

What an awesome feelings I've since I tried the Dyson DC59.after reading the reviews here and then trailing because one of my friend actually have one I can't stop my self to bought it.
This is what I needed because for me cleaning is always hard my 1 year old always after me and turn off the switch or take out the plug of the vaccume and it takes me more than a hour for cleaning but this is amazing quick cleaning with perfect result and Also covers less space.

My Dyson slim would have to be the best vacuum I have ever used! My house has never been so clean! Battery last about 4 days and it gets into all the small little spots a normal vacuum can't get into, even great for getting down the cobwebs from the crazy little spiders! A little expensive but def worth spending the money on a fantastic product! U won't be disappointed

I just love my Dyson Digital slim vacuum cleaner! It is officially my new favourite house hold appliance! With two young kids it makes very quick work of cleaning up, especially after a meal. I rarely have time to vacuum the whole house at once anymore, so I love that I can grab this quickly and just vacuum one room if I have a couple of spare minutes. No need to get the big vacuum out!
It's easy to use, the battery lasts for about 3-4 days worth of spot cleaning or single room cleaning which is great. The container probably has to be emptied every other day but it's so easy it's not a hassle.
If you've been thinking about getting one of these, just do, you won't regret it!

After reading reviews here I knew that the Dyson slim vacuum was for me! I already have a Dyson upright and it's awesome, but with two little kids who are a whizz at turning the floors from clean to disaster in about 27 seconds, I really wanted something that was easy and quick to whip out and take care of a small mess. The Dyson slim vacuum is so easy to use, even my 4 year old can handle it! The suction is second to none, and dare I say I actually look for reasons to use it!!
What I particularly like about it is that it allows you to quickly vacuum a single room without feeling like you have to do the whole house because you got the big vacuum out. With small children it's rare that I ever clean the whole house in one go now. I break up the house work into manageable bits each day so this style of vacuum suits this well. The battery lasts about 20 minutes (less on boost) which actually does about 2-3 days worth of vacuuming for me which is great.
The thing I like least is the noise. It's not bad, it just sounds a bit like a handheld vacuum (ha!). But because it doesn't take long it doesn't really matter.
The head is very easy to move around and easily gets into corners and small spaces.
If you've been thinking about getting a Dyson slim vacuum, I highly recommend it, you won't be disappointed! It will change the way you think about vacuuming!

Getting ready for the return to school has started to kick in so this was a timely read. We have the yum box and i love it, it is so easy for my daughter to open and close on her own. I find the lunch cooler bags also a great idea however some days depending on what else needs to go to school, they can be quite bulky to include in the school bag. Lunch boxes have come such a long way since my eldest was a kid, he’s now 26! There’s really a solution to everything from food heating, cooling, dividers, pockets etc etc. Lunch boxes are a real fashion accessory and so on-trend these days. I personally love the Bento lunch boxes. They save on plastic and separate different foods.
I am such a huge fan of Bento lunch boxes and Bento. Food should be so many wonderful things; including delicious, fun, colourful and nutritious too. Lunch is a favourite meal because the body is ready for some more calories and a boost of energy. Food looks so good in Bento lunch boxes.
So so many fantastic options! We use the montii co ones for our kdis and swear by it. Its lasted 3 years so far and still standing strong, like new since the first day using it. They are so durable and i find cleaning them to be the easiest for us.
There are so many great lunch box option out there indeed ! I’ve always liked the Bento style lunch boxes for my kids. It reduces the use of plastic lunch bags and packaged food which aren’t very good for the environment and it encourages to present a good variety of foods (which is not only better nutrition wise but lao to prevent our kids from getting bored with same foods all the time.
There are some really fabulous options here. So many variations of colour, shape and size. I love the bento style lunch boxes, so handy to keep food separate and eliminate the use of plastic packaging. The machine washable bags are a great idea too. They can get grubby so fast, this would be so much easier to maintain
This has gotten much easier since my kids hit high school – they have strong opinions about their lunch boxes, so I don’t have to think about it so much anymore! However, I am strongly in favor of bento style boxes regardless of their age. They’re easy to clean, easy to pack, and invite appropriate sized portions.
Great article! Our kids are so lucky, when it comes to lunchboxes, they really are spoilt for choice. There are so many to pick from. Regarding sandwiches, my eldest son, used to hate sandwiches for school lunches. It wasn’t until many years later that I discovered that he’d throw out his sandwiches in the playground bins. My son’s an adult now and he still hates sandwiches. He only likes “hot” lunches. So glad he lives on his own now and can make his own “hot” lunches just the way he likes them.

Wow, lunch boxes have really come such a long way from when I was taking a lunch box to school. Feel old, like “back in my day”, but we were lucky to have options like are available now. While I like some of these designs, I feel like they aren’t super practical.
These lunchboxes are beautiful but are they really worth the expensive price tag? I have been through so many lunch boxes and bags over the years and found the best it to use an insulated lunchbox bag with ice brick and use small containers to keep individual items fresh and assessable.
I love the bbox lunch boxes. They are so reliable and tough when kids throw their bags around. Easy to wash and store. I have used the we can be tiny snackies at home too. The boys love choosing a certain animal shape. They wash well, are durable and great quality.
My kids are old enough now to pack their own lunches and I am so happy to see the great choices they are making. They take left over meals, cook food in the morning to take and now I am confident they aren’t throwing away sandwiches! I do have the chilly bags for them, I find they fit better into bags
My daughter uses a bento box now for work and sometimes an insulated bag in summer, but when she was at school it was a rectangular lunch box with no compartments. It was very easy to wash each day, just the box and lid, and it could still be filled with rolls/sandwiches and snacks.
Lunchboxes are so important these days. Back in my day it was a brown paper bag or the exact same lunch box that everyone else had and there were three compartments. Today its such a fashion statement and as much as the lunchbox itself is judged so are the contents.

Greatest Invention
My family shares the joy in having such a great invention in our home as it decreases the time that they need to complete their chores and it is so easy for them to carry around our double storey home.
My kids often fight for the vacuuming chore as they have more time to do other things as it takes them less time to vacuum.

Such a help around the house!
Particularly after mealtimes with the kids, the Dyson DC59 Animal is a great way to do a quick clean without having to worry about getting out our main vacuum.

Great power, great suction, great results!
The power is incredible and really does pick up everything. I live in a home with 3 cats and get ALOT of fur around the home.. this picks up everything and is SO powerful I was blown away bu tits performance! Its so light to hold and the swivel on the head makes it even more accessible throughout the home. I can get under so much more than I could with my previous vacuum and the attachments are great for not only all the crevices throughout my house, but also for getting into the tight spots in my car.
I am so impressed with this vacuum and have recommended it to others,, its outstanding in performance and the power is amazing!

Simply awesome, it has changed my life!
Power: Excellent!
Battery Life: OK but only lasts 6 minutes on turbo mode (which you really need to use on carpet, we usually can clean 2 lounge rooms and a bedroom on 1 charge)
Ease of use: Good but emptying can be a little difficult, usually after using for a full charge you need to remove the whole canister to empty it out
Build Quality: Ok - Some of the joints feel a little flimsy and not sure if they will last the distance, but we will see. The filter on top doesnt lock in and ours is loose and falls out if you tip the vacuum up, I did call the warranty and they sent out a new filter but it still falls out, must just be a design flaw, I will just fix with some sticky tape i guess.
Warranty: As I said above I had to have the filter replaced and I was very impressed with the warranty process, they simply mailed out the new part without me having to lift a finger, I also have a full size Dyson which I had to get a replacement part under warranty and they also sent that out free of charge no fuss!

Messes of all sorts are quickly and easily vacuumed away, meaning no more crumbs or dirt being tracked throughout the house.
The additional attachments makes cleaning drawers, beds, skirting boards, cars, lounges, etc a breeze.

Instead of reaching for the dust pan and brush, I now just get the Dyson DC59 Digital Slim Vacuum Cleaner off charge for a quick whizz of the crumbs.

Fast,perfect cleaning
This is what I needed because for me cleaning is always hard my 1 year old always after me and turn off the switch or take out the plug of the vaccume and it takes me more than a hour for cleaning but this is amazing quick cleaning with perfect result and Also covers less space.

It has changed the way I clean
It's easy to use, the battery lasts for about 3-4 days worth of spot cleaning or single room cleaning which is great. The container probably has to be emptied every other day but it's so easy it's not a hassle.
If you've been thinking about getting one of these, just do, you won't regret it!

Love my Dyson Digital slim vacuum!
What I particularly like about it is that it allows you to quickly vacuum a single room without feeling like you have to do the whole house because you got the big vacuum out. With small children it's rare that I ever clean the whole house in one go now. I break up the house work into manageable bits each day so this style of vacuum suits this well. The battery lasts about 20 minutes (less on boost) which actually does about 2-3 days worth of vacuuming for me which is great.
The thing I like least is the noise. It's not bad, it just sounds a bit like a handheld vacuum (ha!). But because it doesn't take long it doesn't really matter.
The head is very easy to move around and easily gets into corners and small spaces.
If you've been thinking about getting a Dyson slim vacuum, I highly recommend it, you won't be disappointed! It will change the way you think about vacuuming!
