addicts are shells of human beings. Their personalities change and i bet that they love their child- no doubt!- but the addiction has warped their priorities and they are not themselves! They have a problem. I hope that the mum will get clean now that she will have a motivation to do so. It is not easy for you, i bet but i hope that they come around and sort it out. Just keep doing what you are doing and i hope that you are able to help guide them along the right path. It will be a battle but don’t give up! that little girl is relying on you. Hats off to you though. A lot of people wouldn’t have stepped up the way that you have!
